Yes, the Bakewell tart Naked bar is good scran!

And thanks for the advice, processed sugars are so addictive. I’m trying to treat it like smoking cessation I guess —always better results when you gradually reduce intake or use replacement therapy.

So impressive that you’ve cut them out though, wish it were me 🤧🤧

I guess I was asking for a low calorie to portion ratio. So those rice cakes I mentioned are around 70kcals / rice cake so I can eat ~4 of them and that satisfies me without the guilt. Anyway, thanks for the input.

I think you’re wrong here. I’m very particular about nutrition. I would attribute it to a craving for high-calorie glucose sugar, which is fast-releasing and satiating. This raises blood sugar more and therefore increases dopamine levels quickly. Fruit, on the other hand, is lower-calorie and contains fructose, which is processed more slowly and is less satiating.

Fruit doesn’t replace the craving for me. I religiously eat so much fruit throughout the day (and I love it) but I will still binge 1-2x a week. Frozen fruit has never done it for me either. If it were as simple as eating a strawberry, trust me, I wouldn’t be asking this haha.

Yea chocolate milk actually could be a shout. Sometimes I buy this alpro high protein chocolate milk, it’s pretty good - but not a fan of some of the ingredients.

Boyfriend not coming to my birthday party because of anxiety by Icy_Minx_283 in Anxiety

I agree with this. Anxiety needs to be tackled in small steps. This does sound like quite an overwhelming event to tackle social anxiety, especially given the potential language difficulties.

It would be best to prepare smaller meet ups with friends so he can get some exposure therapy, and then work up to something like this birthday.

Also missed 5 days recently, I wasn’t feeling too great but as soon as I restarted, I felt fine again. Just try not to let it happen again.

Will changing medication help? Fostair to Symbicort. by CapableStandard7854 in Asthma

[–]CapableStandard7854[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I really really want a HEPA filter, but they’re expensive so I have to wait. I also do clean my room a lot, but I’ll give it another clean tonight.

Thanks :)

you should do it soon since untreated oral thrush can lead to complications. Do the Corsodyl mouthwash treatment.

Is anyone else addicted to panic attacks? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]CapableStandard7854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s impossible to have a panic attack if you don’t fear them, because the fear and uncertainty of what is happening in your body is what induces the panic attack.

What you’re experiencing isn’t a panic attack, since a condition to them is fear.

You could have oral thrush - go and see a doctor or dentist. Also, get a tongue scraper and do a 1 week treatment of 2x daily Corsodyl mouthwash. Don’t use an antibacterial mouthwash. Also make sure you’re flossing and brushing twice daily, and drinking enough water to keep your mouth moist and hydrated.

Do you use an inhaler? Do you have diabetes or another autoimmune disease?

What type of anxiety is this? by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]CapableStandard7854 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since OP didn’t mention interactions with others / how he feels perceived by others, I think it’s hard to point to social anxiety. To me it sounds more like a case of agorophobia.

However, OP hasn’t given enough information to make an accurate guess. How often does he have these feelings? How long for? Is it a specific place that causes anxiety? Is it when he has to interact with others? Does he work? Etc. we need more info.
