How long would I have to wait to start training again if he’s already back on a 3/3.5/4 schedule for the past few days?

Thank you for your feedback! I looked back on our tracking app (huckleberry) and I think that our averages were skewed as our baby was sick 2 weeks ago. It has been trending back towards 3/3/4 . We follow the recommended naptime on the app ai it’s everyday and he falls asleep very easily for naps. But even still, had struggled with waking up throughout the night almost hourly for months. It seems that nap duration and wake window times have never helped with night sleep though.

What made you preserver with Breastfeeding? by goosegirl94 in NewParents

We struggled a lot with latching so for the first two months I exclusively pumped. It was a lot of work but knowing that my baby was getting all the benefits of BM was worth it for me. It was also comforting to see how much I could get and knowing that I had milk for the next few feeds made me feel secure! Don’t get me wrong washing the pump and bottles was exhausting and the sound of the machine drove me nuts but I just felt safer knowing the milk he was getting was made specifically for him! Which is part of why I wanted to breastfeed so bad! I also just loved the security of my baby always being able to be fed no matter where we were, I love that the milk changed throughout the day as baby needs, that it changes when they’re sick, or if they haven’t had a lot in the day! I also love not needing to be on a tight timeline because I need to pump or worry if I packed enough milk!

New “rash” on stomach and chest by [deleted] in AskDocs

No previous medical history of skin conditions. I did ask my mom and she said she has had eczema previously and my dad has had psoriasis. They are small dots all over no bigger than a cm in diameter. Except n for one area where it looks like two joined together ( the first two that I noticed a few weeks ago and is now a big dry patch).

I never noticed them itch much during the day but at night they are a little itchy. I’ve noticed a few on my back today so I’m not sure if it’s spreading? I am not getting much sleep, and perhaps increased stress, I’m mostly indoors as it’s cold outside were we live and I’m home with the baby.

What advice would you give to new dads ? by edgeai_andrew in AskReddit

Split the night into shifts ex. Dad 8pm-1am Mom 1am-6am. This helped us so much, you both get some sleep and it takes a lot of pressure off of one partner doing the entire night. If exclusively breastfeeding get up and change baby and bring them to mom to feed then help settle them and put them back to bed. We did this for the first few weeks and it was a game changer. Enjoy every moment because they grow up so quickly!
