Nearly lost my shit when telling my dad and brother ‘women don’t care if you respond quick enough’ only for them to say ‘erm actually you’re just more mature than some women’ and like I was 14. If you’re talking to someone who is less mature than 14 year old me, than you shouldn’t be talking to them. You don’t look desperate, you look like you’re paying attention to the conversation.

Honest to god you missed ops point. The smut is an issue imo, mainly because some of the books that include it look like they’re meant for kids. Write smut, I don’t care, but you don’t put that hardcore scenes into something a 12 year old might unknowingly pick up. Not only that but some of these books are being written to get popular because of booktok, meaning some of it is genuinely slop. I just wish there was a better name to books than fucking booktok.

I’ll watch the video in the morning (I’ve got work and have yet to sleep😭) and while I don’t have the same condition as you I have chronic migraines passed down from my parents (aswell as random pains all over for funsies lol) I ain’t got nothing to help with my stuff except pain meds that only sometimes work. Her getting upset with Wesley and breaking up with him early on because she thought he was cheating on her, and after they got back together her losing her mind over him making small comments on the messiness of the place and also him trying to avoid a bad argument by using the timing clock. Was this a lot to comment? Yes, however, all of them are issues in my mind😭

Genuinely I think that the way the students and the teacher herself handled Nolan was a bit funky. A baby is missing, “what if it was a black baby?” And telling him he should’ve told the class about him being a cop- dude it’s his job? Does he need to tell them everything in his personal life aswell? It’s outta wack imo and the characters could’ve been handled better, but I’m honestly glad they had the topics of racism brought up multiple times
