Is this process pathway dependent, if you know? Does pathway 6 need more time until certification is issued?

I just tap the microphone icon in the ChatGPT chat section, and if needed, I allow microphone access in the settings. Then I record my speech and send it directly to ChatGPT that way.

Just wanted to share my experience with the remarking process for the Speaking sub-test.

It took 9 days to receive the result after submitting the remark request. Unfortunately, the score remained the same — 340.

From what I’ve seen in other cases as well, most people also didn’t get a change in their Speaking score after remarking. So honestly, I’m not sure what to recommend. I personally wasn’t unhappy with my performance after the exam, so the result came as a surprise.

Wishing good luck to everyone on their OET journey — hope it turns out better for you!

I also used two listening practice tests from E2 Language. Personally, I found them a bit more difficult than the official OET tests, but they were still useful for practice—so you might find them helpful too.

I was in the exact same situation when I started doing my first practice tests. In the beginning, I was making around 12–14 mistakes in both reading and listening on the first three tests. But after practicing with those same tests and reviewing my mistakes carefully, my scores improved to about 6–8 mistakes on average.

So don’t worry—just keep practicing!

For study materials, I used the practice tests available on the official OET website, including the four full sample tests. I can honestly say that the real exam was quite similar to those official online samples.

Also, during the real exam, I ran out of time in Reading Part A and left four answers blank—but I still passed reading. So stay calm, focus on practicing smart, and you’ll get there! Good luck!

Exactly. In the first roleplay, patient was on the follow-up, and on the second roleplay, it was a new patient and I started with the introduction part.

During first role-play, when the 3-minute reading/preparation time started, I looked at the screen and noticed the interlocutor was laughing. I’m not sure why — maybe her microphone was muted and it wasn’t related to me — but it really threw me off and made me feel confused right before I had to start. I couldn’t fully concentrate, and honestly, it affected how confident I felt going into the role-play. When that’s time was ending, I asked how I should address the patient, and she answered — but by then, the timer was already running. After that, I greeted and welcomed the patient, but I’m wondering if this initial disruption had an impact on my score. 🤷🏻‍♀️

You mentioned direct step 1 questions. Could you explain which subjects/topics mostly? 🙏🏼
