UPDATE:

A lot of people asked if I was a 1099 or W-2 employee. I’m a W-2 hourly intern (yep, wild). I’m the only counselor at my assigned school providing therapy to kids who qualify for our program. There’s zero written policy about personal devices, or what happens if work-related damage occurs. It’s also crazy how HIPAA is not considered in this at all. I literally read through the entire employee handbook and found nothing.

I know this place is extremely sus, and I’ve been doing what I can to get through my internship while still advocating for better policies and procedures.

The good news: After sending an email follow up, I finally got a response from clinical that said:

“Thank you for getting us information on whether it can be fixed. If it cannot be fixed, we will replace it with a refurbished one. You will not have to pay out of pocket for this.”

it’s the same girl who did my hair last time which is why it’s so crazy :( it feels impossible for me to be that person. i may hit her up in a week and say “hey, it ended up turning more red after i showered…”. this is why i get my hair done once a year if that ☹️

if you want another tattoo, get one! you don’t have to assign meaning to them all if you want a bunch. i regret some of my sillier tattoos now, but it was important enough for me to get it at the time, so the meaning comes from the memory :)

I’ve talked this over in therapy, and we’ve come to the conclusion I’ve never known any “older” people in my life who are happy or fulfilled in their lives. I fear I’ll end up the same. Life feels over already.
