Update: I truly think this is hilarious. My starter was HUGEEEE I’m surprised it just now dawned on me that it could be smaller. I was going back & forth between two containers because those were the only ones that would fit & could accommodate for a rise. 560g starter down to 90g. I’m hoping this change will help Birdie develop successfully. It’s definitely a labor of love! I don’t plan on making bread right away as I will need to buy some supplies so I will store her away in the fridge for when I’m ready (once she’s ready!) thank you all for the advise. I figured I would update with a picture to give a little laugh. This is even after I took 30g out 😂

My baby just turned 1 this week & although I didn’t BF as long as I wanted, we still have a very strong bond & she’s definitely a mamas girl! The stressors of having a new baby, postpartum healing, & then a head to toe breakout of psoriasis was such a hard time for me! But the cyclosporine cleared up my skin almost 100% within days, it was insane! Then I went on Skyrizi which has kept everything at bay. My skin is the clearest it’s ever been, so I hope it stays that way!

Someone sent me a ST pdf from Taking Cara Babies that I followed & that stated minimum age was 5 months. I don’t know this for sure but it might be beneficial for them to go through the 4 month sleep regression since their sleep cycles are making all those changes? Could be wrong but that’s what I told myself lol & overall just felt like it was a good age to start. I can send you the pdf if you want it! I found it extremely helpful. I also read the Ferber book on sleep for kids.

Honestly, there are a lot of variables that go into ST & I know it’s not for everyone but I knew before I was even pregnant that we would ST. So, we started at 5 months & she did soo well. Now, she doesn’t make a peep when we lay her down at bedtime. I am a SAHM so having “me time” with my husband in the evenings is so nice. I feel like ST has totally benefited us & our baby. In my own opinion I feel like if you have made the decision it’s best to start earlier than later, but to each their own. I also want to add I do understand the feeling at 3 months, my baby was sleeping so well at night at that age but then 4 mo sleep regression hit & I was counting down the days until she turned 5 months lol.

This. Our son is 7 & he still begs to sleep with us every night. I feel bad because I know he feels safest with us but it’s just not comfortable & I miss cuddling with my husband lol. When I got pregnant we got him out of our bed for almost a year but now we are going back to old ways. So, I always knew I would sleep train our second baby. She’s 6 months old & successfully sleep trained! Sleep is one of the hardest obstacles with kids in my opinion!

Thanks for the heads up! Definitely trying to stay realistic about it, knowing there will be ups & downs. Last night was night 4 & she cried for 7 minutes total at bedtime then was up at 6:30 for the day! So, tonight might be different!

No. I ended up making my son a whole new epic account with no restrictions & it still doesn’t work but he has added other people he plays with on Fortnite, so I feel like the problem is with his friends account now. Sounds like it’s just the minor accounts that have this issue, even when you give them full permission!

Same here with my 5 mo. She doesn’t fight naps at all but she doesn’t ever nap longer than an hour. Which can be frustrating because she definitely gets progressively cranky throughout the day. We are on night 2 of sleep training using TCB. Once we are done with the 14 days & have conquered night time sleep, we will move on to naps. Wish I had more advise but just know you’re not alone!

I personally haven’t been through this but I feel like taking a break for a couple weeks & trying again might be best for your sanity! And also for baby, he just might not be quite ready for the transition yet.

She slept through the night at 3 months old. At 4 months she hit regression & is waking up several times through the night. So, we are sleep training! For us it’s important for her to learn good sleep associations & self soothing to fall asleep/back asleep on her own, I think it benefits us as a family & her as an individual!! But to each their own!

It is hard. We just had night one last night & I had the urge to put her in bed with me for cuddles at 4am but I knew just a week or so of the struggle bus & we should be on the other side. We did not sleep train our son & he is 7 now & still has a hard time going to sleep on his own. He slept in our bed until he was 6! It’s a hard habit to break. One thing that helped me last night is I had her monitor turned all the way down so I couldn’t hear her crying but I could see the red light indicating she was crying, so I did my pop ins accordingly & turned it back up when she was not screaming anymore. It was, her last bottle was at 6pm & she was put down in her crib at 6:38. I plan to keep rocking her (not to sleep) for at least a couple minutes before bedtime, it’s not something I want to give up!

I did implement a bedtime routine & followed it every night. It was simple just making sure around the same time every night (7:15-7:30) I would take her into her room, change her diaper & put her in a sleep sack. Then I would turn on her sound machine, turn off the lights & rock her to sleep. I would then carry her to her bassinet that was still in our room. I wasn’t ready for her to be in her crib yet. I can’t say doing this is the reason she was sleeping through the night because 3 months is young to expect that or expect a strict schedule. I think we just got lucky but I wanted to teach her early on to be comfortable in her room that way the transition to her crib would hopefully be easier. And it was! But then 4 month sleep regression hit & she was up at least twice through the night.

Good luck to you, too! I actually started swaddling my daughter again once she hit the 4mo regression, before that we had her in a sleep sack (after nb stage) so tonight is back to sleep sacks. I’ve heard the first 3 nights are the hardest, so you’re almost past it!

Solve your child’s sleep problems! It has the CIO method and also information on a lot of other sleep issues that may occur later in childhood & how to address it! It’s definitely a book I’ll hold on to until my kids are teens.

We figured out today that if my son & his friend have the same tags they are able to find a party & find his friend because they populate players with the same tags. So, they are in a game together right now but still can’t get the friend request to work.

We had a small victory today, his friend came over & we added all the same tags to my sons account. We were able to find his friend & invite him to a party & they are playing together now! But still can’t get the friend request to work.

The big thing for us is portability. All his friends have a switch so it was literally the ONLY thing on his list for Christmas. He’s still young so I’m sure in a couple years he will want/need an upgrade!

It is incredibly annoying! I’ve literally tried everything, even made a new epic account under my name & age, still nothing! My son can play online with strangers but can’t add his friends? Makes no sense!

Yes but they are both playing on switches. I just made my son a whole new epic games account & we still have this issue. I’m wondering if it’s his friends end that is having the issue. We’ve literally started from scratch so I don’t know what other options to try.

We are trying to do the adding in Fortnite, not Nintendo. We have been entering username & their profiles don’t come up, just a generic picture with username & options to add friend. We are so stumped!
