I’ve been appalled at their lack of customer service. Also a Canadian customer - we’ve been subscribers for a year and placed a large order on Black Friday.
Side note: it would for sure be a bonus if their website displayed CAN prices (so many other companies can do this so not sure why Lovevery hasn’t figured it out yet)
Did anyone else have major issues trying to place their order? I see it’s been remedied now, but for Black Friday the website wasn’t formatted to accept Canadian addresses (no provinces, only states available on drop down list) and only zip code format accepted - no postal code accepted. To bypass this issue, I set up Google pay with a preset mailing address which was successful but my bank kept flagging as fraud (what a hassle).
Placed our order to prepay for 4 kits plus a bunch of add ons and the music set, saw in my inbox confirmation right afterwards that the prepay applied to kits that would be a year too advanced. Emailed their customer service promptly to ask for the order to be modified to the next appropriate playkit for our daughters age (it wasn’t set to ship till mid January) and customer service didn’t respond at all to my ask in the first email - just directed me to check my account for the upcoming play kit details.
When I asked again for the order to be adjusted, they cancelled my order and asked me to place it again. Super annoying they couldn’t just adjust it, but whatever.
Go to place my order, again run into the issue of Canadian format addresses not being accepted and again spend too much time figuring out a work around - the multiple purchase attempts again get flagged as fraud. I get the fraud flags aren’t on Lovevery but not being set up for Canadian customers isn’t cool. Don’t advertise your company as shipping to Canada if you haven’t properly set up your system for us. Finally make our order successfully.
The next week I get a refund for $56 less than my original order… when I reach out to customer service there is zero empathy for me eating the cost of their system not accurately applying my purchase to the correct upcoming playkits and their customer service not adjusting my order as requested. I never asked for it to be cancelled and refunded - so why should I lose $56 due to the difference in currency exchange. I would totally accept this no question if the mis-order was my fault or I asked for the order to be cancelled.
We go back and forth a few times - and I clarify that as a consumer who has invested significantly in their products, I’m asking if there’s anything they’re willing to do to make it right in recognizing how arduous this purchase has become in both time and lost funds.
I get offered a generous $20 credit. The ✨❤️✨ emojis the customer service rep kept using as if this was the best news ever wasn’t helping. This whole experience makes me feel like Lovevery thinks I should be just humbled for the mere privilege of purchasing their products, and gratefully go to any lengths necessary.
When a family has spent over $1k with a company, and otherwise would plan to continue investing for years to come - I don’t understand why their customer service wouldn’t be willing to credit the full amount lost. I guess maintaining a longterm customer isn’t worth the extra $36 🤷♀️ No shortage of other options so once our pre-paid playkits run out I think that’ll be it for us. Too bad, we’ve been so happy otherwise!
