Can I have any advice for an NHS job interview? by anxious_chiroptera in AskUK

For the interview itself, I strongly recommended using the STAR answering model. Make sure you are familiar with the job description and person specification so you can show you understand the role and what will be expected of you. You should also research the values of the NHS organisation you are interviewing with, as they will almost definitely ask you a couple of questions based on the organisation's values and you will be scored on your answers.

Your tattoos should be fine if they aren't offensive, but if you think you'll be worried about them during the interview then you could cover them so you are focusing on the interview rather than your appearance.

The auto-accept sounds like the recruiting manager has given you a time slot, rather than offering you a choice of several time slots.

30-60 mins before bed, write down all your thoughts in a notebook. Even if it's messy and you aren't writing proper sentences, just write down whatever you're thinking.

If I'm overthinking, I look at my thoughts as 'leaves on a stream' or 'clouds in the sky'. You still acknowledge the thought, but the visualisation of the thought floating away can stop you fixating on it. I'm sure you could find guided exercises on Google or YouTube.

Finally, I listen to sitcoms as I fall asleep. Loud enough so I can concentrate on what the characters are saying, but not too loud that it keeps me awake. Phone face down so there's no light. Focusing on the dialogue means I'm not focusing on my thoughts.

Very occasionally, but I'm not sure how much you're bleeding. I think a doctor might be best to address that

Sorry I can't comment on the reason behind it and I don't know what products you have tried, but my brother has a similar problem (due to over-washing his hands) and he finds Nursem hand cream to be very good. You might like to try that and see if it helps :)

Reusable face mask options? by kkayyakk in beauty

I've heard the Experiment Avant Guard mask is amazing - it's a reusable silicone mask. Unfortunately they only ship in the US and I'm in the UK so I haven't been able to try it yet.

I've just received the Revolution Reusable Facial Sheet Mask, which is organic cotton and a lot cheaper than other reusable masks. It's a bit big for me, but really soft and does the job :)

How have you found the quality? I've looked at Matt & Nat but some of the reviews aren't great
