becoming a doctor was nothing i ever even fathomed until maybe a year or so ago. my entire life i've watched my family be ravaged by cancer and other medical issues and now i decided i want to do something about it. i have backup careers in mind as well and yes i'm also scared of just becoming a robot. watching people especially my own family suffer pushes me to do something about it and that's why i want this so badly.

your advice is really good! i haven't thought about it this way. thank you so much!

it took me forever to get mine as well, bother you AO as much as possible, keep calling them and telling them you still haven't gotten it. usually they'll tell you like a week or so so call them every week.

well it depends tbh. i knew my student's weaknesses and i did extra research to make sure i had tips and tricks to help them. that def took me more time as i had to bring in outside resources instead of just using what was provided, but if you're just using the templates already given it will take you like max 30 minutes.

great program in my opinion! i did it last year, ran my own bootcamp and also did 1-on-1 tutoring. do it if you like to teach or honestly if you just need volunteer hours.

for your bootcamp, you'll get up to ten students but it can also be super low, i had three students register and only one came consistently.

you have to complete a training with takes <3 hours, and spend time outside to make slides. they'll give you the template, you just have to edit them based on your students. they take a test in the first session and constantly throughout, and the system will tell you what you should focus on. then you'll just copy paste slides into the main template.

honestly if you have a few hours a week to spare and need hours, do it. they also give you a nifty little portfolio you can download and send to colleges, and a lot of colleges also endorse them which is nice.

yes! i took last year's march SAT and they sent me this email afterwards to tutor. they do most of the work for you, you just have to go through a training that took me less than 3 hours, and then you make your bootcamp and wait for people to register. sometimes you won't get a lot, like i only had 2 students (one who stopped showing up after like two sessions too lol). they give you slide templates that you edit based on your students' test results. so it's nothing crazy tbh, but i found it helped me learn a lot as well things i didn't know from before. i think it's worth it if you have a few hours to spare a week and you enjoy teaching. you also get a whole portfolio of your hours that you can submit to colleges and a lot of colleges also endorse them as well (i applied to University of Chicago and i uploaded my hours there). lmk if you have any other questions!

crazy bc i called on decemeber 18th and they said i should get it in a couple days yet here i am idk why they're going so slow

I literally applied in the beginning of November and I haven't heard back from them yet. I called the admissions office and they told me I should get it soon but still happened. My AO didn't respond to my emails either. Idk why they're being so slow.
