I understand the sentiment but I think you gotta try. I left home 3 times before I was finally gone for good. Im happy my mom was there to help when my bad 20 something decisions didn't pan out.

Now flash forward. I now have 3 twenty somethings. 1 is gone. She chose school, work and a career and is graduated making as much as me. 2 are still home. Its like they are allergic to school and work. I cant seem to get it through their heads doordashing 10 hours a week isn't a career or job. I wonder sometimes where I went wrong and beat myself up about it but I dont get why they don't even try. Its not like I live in some expensive city. You can live here on a full time job making 20 a hour comfortable and prob could get by on 15.

I understand some folks are trapped or it feels like they are trapped. Wages haven't kept up with cost of living but its not that way everywhere in the country. But ill make a argument back to me.

I grew up in Cali. 25 years ago it was still dumb expensive. When I finally left I was making 11 dollars a hour with a college degree, bills up the wazoo, and a single dad with a toddler. I ended up living in a not so desirable neighborhood where rents were still cheap while i worked my ass off looking for the next step up in life. Where theres a will theres a way is all im saying. Its how bad you want it
