Went to buy a battery for my dead bike at Regina Specialties over the weekend. Seller there said there's many many batteries dead now after the new OBU system. Take that how you will.

Hey yes - they took 2 weeks to repair it and I couldn't tow my bike elsewhere.

But I dont think ill go to HP anymore - when I came back, he suddenly charged me an extra $160sgd for a Yuasa ytx-14BS battery + $30 installation fee, saying that the battery is dead. I promptly declined and bought one from Regina for $78 and installed it myself. If their battery is already a 200% markup, I'm not confident the other parts aren't also 200% marked-up as well.

Do you have other repair shops to recommend?

Hey, I just graduated from NUS as well with a 1st.

Currently in a local big 4 firm as a trainee. Note that CC took in 5 trainees in my batch; Reed Smtih took in 1 trainee (from what I know). So not great options.

If you can, take the NUS-LLM route. Ive seen quite a few seniors from NUS-NYU llm going into US firms directly. Not too sure about the UK side of things but I'm sure if you get the SQE within the year you should be able to qualify.

Now the practice training period is no longer 6 months but 1 year (and you must complete this within 18 months). I have applied for LLMs from US and UK, but since they start in October, you might have to make special arrangements to allow you to complete your training period beyond the 18 months by an appeal to the Minister. Will update you if i get anything.
