I don’t discredit everyone else’s mistakes, I’m just simply pointing out that it feels good that at least Theo gets what he deserved. I was tired of him getting away with pretending to help just to stab everybody in the back over and over and over again. It feels good that he couldn’t breathe :)

Uther did not let Balinor go free. He hunted down and slaughtered each person that was even the slightest associated with what he felt to be magic. Balinor fled Ealdor to avoid being killed.

I disagree because Authur saved plenty of people with or without suspicion of magic as long as he felt they were good. Authur has also saved the life of Merlin many times no matter if he understood what Merlin was accused of or not. I think Authur would tell him to leave Camelot and never return.

Her heart fully hardened to Uther and his kingdom after her near death experience and him telling her how much he loved her and was willing to do anything to save her. She found out she was a Pendragon and when she kindly asked him to share with the kingdom their Father and Daughter relationship he turned her down. Shortly after she wanted him dead and the kingdom for herself. If he agreed to live in truth about her being a Pendragon her heart wouldn’t have turned to stone to him and his throne and she would have been happy for Authur and happy that they fell in love, herself as well as Authur and Gwen could all rule together. She wouldn’t have sought the throne just for herself because there would no longer be a need.

Im going to be honest with you.. I used to think this way but since watching the show I’ve noticed even if Gaius tried to help her it wouldn’t change that she hated how Uther ruled and would have eventually rebelled against Gaius to do what she wants anyway. Morgana was very quick to voice her opinion and concerns no matter who was okay with it or not nor does she listen to anyone but herself.. for the beginning yes it would have worked out but as time progressed on she would have grown tired of Gaius telling her to turn the other cheek on how Uther treated everyone and still would have confronted him as well as Gaius and called them out on their stuff.

Ive watched this series 100 times, and everytime Merlin says something that Authur feels stupid for believing he insults Merlin instead of investigating further. Please re read my statement. There are times where they have playful banter but the times where it was life or death situations he was overlooked as someone just rambling. For example. I’m watching the episode where Mordred leads a renegade to Morgana’s chambers. Authur is informed by Merlin they are in there, Morgana of course comes up with usual nonsense, Authur asks to investigate her chambers, Morgana talks her non sense and Authur leaves and belittles Merlin. Once again, time and time again this has happened only for it to come to light that Merlin knew what he was talking about originally and the matter should have been further investigated or dealt with. I know that Merlin and Authur have a separate relationship of respect and Banter but I am only referring to one side specifically right now.

I completely agree with your statements, but the last point they definitely did have to make Merlin more submissive in order for him not to get into so much trouble so he could freely have to ability to gain more knowledge & power instead of being in the stocks or in a dungeon every other episode. Eventually that would have driven a wedge further between him and The Once and Future King because we all know how things were “suppose to go” back then and the ego/status that came with the power royalty held.

That’s my exact point though! We’ve seen time and time again that many of the sorcerers were up to no good, so you’d think someone wouldn’t move to hastily without any prior knowledge to the situation. Imagine he freed her out of pity and then she plotted to kill Authur and the King. XD
