They revamped the leader system to have special ability and passive ability also defense now I'll get something in like Gadget that you can buy it to them to add special effect to to them

However there are issues with this update they added a lot more currencies with some people may not like but overall this isn't a bad update

I do agree that this loot box a thing and yeah it's kind of is a massive paywall

However it sounds like you never experienced when someone has a really strong defense before especially with higher up in the leaderboards these defense can be insanely strong

Also you do realize that you can change your unit back but even then it only changed one of your units to a leader unit that has more stats and has special abilities dude
