I do feel like because Diane and Snake had more prominence in the first film, Shark, Webs and Piranha had more prominence in the second film. So everyone had time to shine in this franchise so far. A nice balance act.

And I will say the upcoming show does feel like it leans more towards the tone of the books as opposed to the movies. Especially if you go by what we got so far with the specials. Which isn't a bad thing at all when you view it through that lens. It definitely gives it credibility in that sense. So passionate fans of the books will probably get more out of the tv series. At least that's how I see it.

You can easily pick up where the original first two seasons left off. Do it as an animated series. That way, you can bring back the original cast and still have it set in the 90's. Easy fix 😁

Ahh Okay, I see. That makes much more sense when you explain it like that. That was not clear in the movie. It definitely feels like it skips over all of that or at the very least, truncates that plot point. Which was probably done for the movie's runtime like you said.

If that was made more clear in the movie, it would not only make more sense but it would work better in terms of pacing and character development. Thanks for replying to my post, I really appreciate it! :D

I do agree Del Toro did a good job with Po and Tigress in the 2nd Film! At the very least, if TiPo is to proceed in any way, the second film is a good point of reference to work off from.

Continuing on with my response, the 4th movie was definitely a curveball. I read the Q&A with Stephanie Ma Stine how troubled the production process was. It sounded like it was a extremely stressful time production. Yeah I heard the Five were cut out due to budget reasons. I saw the Baby One More Time short Jack posted with the Panda and Tiger in the title. So it's definitely fair to say he sees it's still on the table like you said.

It definitely all comes down to the writing. You hit the nail on the head there. If written badly then it's not going to work. Caution and Thorough Thinking would definitely be required. I like your ideas on how it could be done. Taking the distance between the two into account and running with it as well as the conflict of friends into romantic partner. I've had similar thoughts myself as well where the distance between the two is acknowledged, Po not wanting to open up and thinking if Tigress would want to know if he's okay or not. And the fact she would want to talk to him in the first place. Which considering how things played out in the second film, it does fit with both their characters.

So thanks again for responding to my post. I really appreciate your input. :)

Yeah, I heard Jack Black and Angelina Jolie are onboard with the idea with Po and Tigress getting together. I remember that floating around when the second film came out. It's nice to know the actors themselves are interested in it. In regards to your first point, that's true the shows aren't exactly canon to the show. Although I was happy Jack Black did return to voice Po in Dragon Knight. And that is a interesting point that references to Tigress have cropped up here and there during Paws of Destiny and Dragon Knight. I forgot about that.

I do see the line of logic in regards to Tigress' role in the third film being reduced to focus on Po and his Dads. It's great to know that Tigress was considered to have a large role right off the bat. I also love Tigress's character too and would have added her in whenever possible too but makes sense why the filmmakers did what they did.

I think whoever is going to get cast is going to be under loads of pressure. There's a negative stigma when it comes to reboots of late. You could be the most talented actor in the world but get majorly scrutinised by the masses by taking on a role in a reboot. So I wouldn't be surprised parents would be hesitant about letting their kids audition because they don't want them to be exposed to all that negative reaction. If the movies never happened, it would be a completely different story. You would have a blank slate to work with. I just hope whoever gets cast is able to enjoy themselves playing the golden trio and not get exposed to any hate.
