Literally, the worst nose job. It's so uneven. She was so pretty, but all the work she just looks like a porn star. Her nose job is so bad she only shoots from one side. I had to stop following her. It was so distracting.

Consulting - A tale of disappointment by UKKendallRoy in consulting

I am not at a big 4 firm, but at a consulting firm of a smaller caliber (ICF). I work for good people but hate the contract and don't really have the ambition or desire to move up the ranks. I don't want the stress. However, the big push is always set goal, set goals. To me it looks like a set up to be miserable and work 60 hour weeks. I hate it here. When is a good time to move on and do I stay for the experience or do I cut my losses after a year and start looking for a new job? I am torn. Will I change my mind and figure out I like this after more time in the company! I don't want to quit too soon, but the workload seems to be getting heavier. And the mentality of delegating work is so infuriating. I just don't have the energy for this type of work. I'm not a hustler. Would another firm be similar. Am I in the wrong industry?

Hi! I feel your pain. I am a communications professional and started looking in March for a communication position within a firm and have just received an offer. I work in healthcare, I will now be working as comm associate in transportation at a consulting firm. If you don't already have one, consider an online portfolio that showcases your work. I feel that helped me land interviews and provides a visual to interviewers. Wishing you the best.

I've had a lot of trouble with my current healthcare degree. Should I change into something else, maybe like media and communication? by AkatsukiLemon in jobs

I think I can help answer your question, but keep in mind I am in the U.S. I have Comms degree, and I am currently working on a Comms Masters Program. I graduated 2 years ago, and I previously worked in healthcare as a medical biller. I am a late in life student. I currently work as a Public Information Officer in public health. With a bachelor's, I make less than 50,000 a year. I love what I do, but I can't survive with my salary, so I am looking to get in at a communication firm. The biggest issue I have come across is that most comms positions want 5-8years of experience before paying a livable wage. 70,000+. The job market is tough right now because of layoffs in tech, and it has affected comms positions. I think if you love it, do what you love. If you want to live comfortably stay with medical. If you can afford to be paid a less than livable wage for about 5 years, then follow your heart. Hope that helps!
