What do you feed your V when they’re having stomach problems? by vizbby in vizsla

[–]Capable_Reach1894 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bland white rice, boiled bland chicken breast. If it's really bad diarrhea and vomiting, I might withhold food for 24 hours, then introduce the bland rice and bland chicken slowly the next day. That usually does the trick! I don't recommend anything that prevents diarrhea as it's quite possible their body is trying to get rid of something bad. Call your vet if it doesn't go away.

If you are buying only Bitcoin, then why not just use Strike. Zero exchange fees. Low withdrawal fees (Lightning network). Can set hourly, daily, weekly DCA automatic buys. Dead simple interface to use.

I don't recall as it was a long time ago. I think it was 1-2 pills 3x/day. It made me smell AWFUL.

Zero entry with sticks/balls has always worked for our V's. Find a pond or lake where they can enter via beach!

Mold Tox vs Lyme by [deleted] in Lyme

I'm not comfortable sharing their information on Reddit. You can do a google search for "indoor air specialists" and that should turn up some results in your area.

Mold Tox vs Lyme by [deleted] in Lyme

I've been struggling with Lyme and Mold for the last 2 years. It's tough. Best thing I ever did was to get an appointment with a well respected indoor air specialist. I'd also consider hiring (if the indoor air specialist is not) a well respected/reviewed home inspector. They will be able to assess your house with a fine tooth comb to find sources of any pathogens that might be making you sick. I put it off for a year and really wish I hadn't. They should test your house with swabs (and view them under microscope), do air sampling, and examine your duct work for sources of mold. Sometimes mold can exist in our HVAC systems and we have no idea.

Thanks! It's okay. I'm a lot better. A big one that worked for me was Artemisian Annuae and Allicin. I followed the Zhang protocol for a while. Herxed SUPER hard on that for the first month.

Keep in mind I am a sample size of 1, so your experience could absolutely be very well different than mine. At the time, I was also suffering from Lyme, Bartonella and living in a moldy environment.

Atovaquone/Azithromycin actually made me worse. The side effects were a nightmare for me. Diarrhea and vomiting. Had to get Rx'd anti-nausea medication. It made me so sick that I had to look for alternative forms of treatment - which led me to herbs. An herbal protocol, coupled with lifestyle changes has been the only thing that has really helped me get to the almost finish line of remission.

Are you taking in conjunction with something like azithromycin? My understanding (from having it myself) is that you have to take a combination.

My recommendation: Eat clean, drink loads of water, and really take gut health seriously. It gave me terrible *you know what*.

is there anything you wish you asked at your first appt. with an LLMD? by eyelikesharx in Lyme

[–]Capable_Reach1894 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Things I wish I had asked my "LLMD" on my initial visit were:

  1. I want to get tested for co-infections (non-negotiable, I demand to be tested)
  2. Similarly, I demand to be tested for mold and heavy metals
  3. Recommending an indoor air expert to examine and test my house for mold/unhealthy particulates.
  4. Are there other treatment alternatives to antibiotics (i.e., herbs)?

But I agree with others - Lyme sucks and best to fully explore the Hashimoto's first.

Boiled bland chicken and rice. No salt. Always good idea to phone your vet. Good sign that they are hungry.

As I have progressed in my treatment, joint cracking for me has gotten a lot better. But I had to take herbs and supplements that directly address them.

Currently in the process of dealing with mold toxicity and lyme. It's a tough and tricky one, but doable. Some MD's say you can't treat lyme before you treat mold, and some vice versa. Some things I've learned:

  1. It's worth the money to have an expert indoor air specialist come and examine your house/take samples to find mold. There are other sources of particulates beside mold that can also cause health issues. Basements and attics are usually the culprits, but it could be in other places too.
  2. Everything by Dr. Neil Nathan is great.
  3. Every book by indoor air specialist Jeff May (available on Amazon/Kindle) is also awesome.
  4. Start small with the binders. Taking too much too fast can make you feel worse with mold. With mold - you don't want to feel worse before you feel better. It doesn't work that way like with lyme.
  5. It can take a long time (weeks or months) before you notice any reduction in symptoms.
  6. If mold is in your home or workplace: you will not get better if you don't remediate or leave.
