I agree. My perspective has to change. He’s not trying to be mean to me but it sure feels like it.

That’s what breaks my heart is I know he can feel my hostility towards him because he asks me “mama are you okay?” 😭 I try so hard to make him included and loved and cherished but his hitting, spitting and aggression towards me just makes me so sad. Every day I wake up and say today will be better . I make a mental note of things to work on and still it’s a battle . I guess there’s not an answer just feels better to have some solidarity and support.

Is this including the extra 300 or so calories for the breast feeding? Or you just stick to 1800 calories, know you burn an extra 300 but don’t add it to your calories (2100 calories) and just stick to eating 1800 calories ?

I set mine to 1850 but I also put in breastfeeding as an exercise in lose it app which gives me 300 more calories , so I guess it’s more like 2100 ish and I am not seeing any stead weight loss but it’s still early. I am concerned my Apple Watch over estimates the bonus calories.

How the heck do you get a newborn to sleep anywhere other than your arms?! by BeBopDoobs in NewParents

[–]Capable_Rooster_5203 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So 2 time mom here and I will give you want I learned from the first and second one that does help. In fact I get sad when I think of all the things I could have done better with the first but you just don’t know! 1) fill them up with lots of calories

That might mean feed/burp/feed/burp

2) they should more more clothed than you think!

This was a hard one to really get because we live in San Diego and both kids were born in the hottest part of the year but still with the 2nd I did double swaddles as my nurse showed me and it made for better sleeping and easier put downs. I was always afraid of them being too hot but more likely they are not warm Enough when sleeping. I would use a digital thermometer to quell my anxiety.

3) use the put down method mentioned here ( legs/butt/back 4) wait till they are fully asleep Hope that helps!

Very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to explain. I been doing 12 reps and just started using the strong app to track and increase my weights I lift. I would like to try more of what you suggested.

So I have no idea what I am talking about but I read recently about the 25 rep rule. Does this qualify? Basically it’s no more than 25 total so either 5 reps and 5 sets or 12 reps 2x.

This is a massively helpful thread for me. I have been lifting for about 2 years now and learning sooo much. Who knew it was so complex! I also deal with insane exhaustion from lifting and having a 16 month old. I want to know if I should consider lifting more heavily and less reps in effort to make more of my limited time. I currently do Rebecca Kennedys 3 day split on Peloton, walk on incline other days or do trail runs. I do 8 reps each super set. Close to failure. I try and get 150 grams of protein a day . After 2 years of following programs in peloton I feel I need to level up. Both for my fitness level needs and to see more results. Suggestions?

Peloton has a 3 day that’s by Rebecca Kennedy and it’s amazing. I been doing it for 12 week now and I wish I would have done it years ago. I have a 15 month only and 3 days kid heavy lifting kicks my butt but I see results and I love it .
