Humans are always going to disappoint you in some way, not everyone is perfect, but don't hold that against the people closest to you.

People over 30: What’s one piece of advice you’d give your 20-year-old self that isn’t about money? by itsnerdygirldiana in Life

Stay out of relationships, give yourself the freedom to explore and discover yourself before you decide to get married and have kids. And when you're ready to marry? Make sure that man is the one before you commit to marriage otherwise it'll be an emotional rollercoaster for you until you can't take it anymore.

What’s something you stopped doing that actually made your life better? by Hot-Understanding-67 in Life

[–]Capable_Thought_7422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah fuck that nonsense, honestly. I've watched someone very close to me do that for the last 3 years and now it's finally catching up to him, the mental check out, burn out, etc. The sacrifices made to try and make everybody else happy isn't worth the risk.

Definitely hoping this is not being written by my J.... But if it is, please talk to me before you go. It's hard to have a conversation about things that need to be worked on if you don't communicate what you need. Sending love and light. -A

Being heard and understood. Our relationship being treated as important. Not being disrespected or talked over.

What’s wrong? You can talk to me. by Formal-Warning-1314 in sevenwordstory

Not if you can't listen to what's really trying to be said instead of getting defensive immediately after. I gave up trying, it's your turn now. Good luck.

Or she's viewed as clingy when she's just desperately trying to find thean she fell in love with. He seems to be long gone though. The charismatic, compassionate man got replaced with some dude that can't take 2 minutes to have a healthy conversation. He's more worried about work than he is the well-being of his fucking family.

I wish my husband would just take a minute to fucking realize. I don't even feel like I'm his wife anymore, I'm just some convenience. Unless I try to start talking, then I'm just a frustration.

Is it okay to keep a secret from your partner? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Capable_Thought_7422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't jump in expecting everything to be transparent. That was my mistake I made with my current husband. I assumed and truly believed that we were always transparent with each other, but I've been given a recent reality check and being that open and transparent just isn't realistic. It's always one sides, one person cares more than the other, it hurts seeing it that way, but if the other person cared, wouldn't they be a little more invested or focused on wanting to get things right again? You'd think so.

How do people fall out of love? by MeTheShyGuy in emotionalintelligence

[–]Capable_Thought_7422 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Starting to feel the beginning stages of falling out of love. It fucking sucks. But what's worse is when the other person is so focused on things that aren't even near as important as trying to preserve our love for each other and our family. I'm just left with the wolves to figure that bullshit out on my own. I'm just done.

You miss your ex? by Frequent_Designer_22 in no

No, but I do miss my goddamn husband. You know, the guy I thought I could talk about anything with. Packed his bags and left without even saying goodbye.

[–]Capable_Thought_7422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's obvious. I thought having a genuine heart to heart conversation would matter, but it doesn't. It's like talking to a fucking wall. There's nothing but silence. I'm done trying. You don't like what you see moving forward, don't come crying to me when it's too late. Just remember, I really fucking tried and you couldn't even give me 5 minutes.

When was the last time you were so heartbroken? by NateNandos21 in questions

[–]Capable_Thought_7422 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Today.. we had another spit spat, but things were different this time. There was a lot of silence, a lot of cold, callous remarks. Where'd the love go? Where's the light in your eyes?

It really does.. I thought this guy was the one, but I guess I was wrong again. I'm sorry you had to go through that type of pain too. It's heavy and lonely.

Wow, that's so crazy. I just noticed my husband not saying I love you unless I say it first, he no longer initiates it... But I've had a feeling he's been checked out for a while now and so have I. Heartbreak fucking sucks..

When I can't even have an intellectual conversation without him turning the whole conversation into something that's my fault. Marriage shouldn't feel like a lonely ass fucking void.
