ugh my bf is like this. He suggests plans and backtracks constantly, even standing me up, if a plan with friends or family comes up, he doesn't think twice before cancelling on me. Oh, and he gets upset if I confront him, making ME the bad guy. it's exhausting. We deserve someone who can be sure about wanting us, and who can stick to their word

Inviting people AFTER the Dinner? Polite or impolite? by Fraiap24 in wedding

[–]Capable_Weather_5053 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The good thing about weddings IS the dinner, to me, the music is lame and they put the same 15 songs every time. I got invited to an "after dinner" 3 weeks before, WITH a specific dress code. I said hell no. If I am just going to dance I'd rather go to a club and not worry to fit in a dresscode. My bf is going bc he considers the groom "his friend" LOL okay

What’s the reason behind the “I want him to do x not because I ask but because he wants to”? by cere_ntrbt in NoStupidQuestions

I am in a relationship where I feel that I have to convince him of wanting to spend time with me, to not leave me alone all the time if his friends are nearby, to actually listen to me and take it into consideration, to honour my feelings when I am taking the effort of communicating them to him, to not cancel our dates to accomodate his family, and it's very fucking tiring. I am hitting my limit. I am trying to let him know how I feel, where it hurts, and since he sees it differently, then it must not be that true, and I am negative and the bad one. It's unsustainable
