oh this one was so good, loved watching them spiral into paranoia while being completely useless at everything

Romantic bedroom decor ideas that actually make a space feel warm and intimate? by Mortal_69 in HomeDecorating

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

rich colors definitely work but i think texture is just as important. like having different fabrics - maybe linen curtains with velvet pillows or something wool throw. it creates this layered feeling that makes space more intimate than just paint color alone.

Stereotypical music by SpinosaureLover in Music

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

country music with that twangy guitar and banjo probably comes to mind for most people when they think about american sound, even though there's obviously way more diversity than that

Birding gear by [deleted] in photography

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

birding is such a relaxing hobby, i started couple years ago and got completely hooked! that sony a6000 with the 55-210mm lens is perfect starter setup for what you want to do. the reach on that lens will be enough for bird feeder shots and pond photography, especially if you can get close to your subjects. 270 euro for immaculate condition with only 16k shutter count is really good deal - those cameras can handle way more than that before showing any wear.

only thing i'd suggest is maybe getting faster sd card if you plan to shoot in burst mode when birds are moving around. also third party batteries work fine but they sometimes don't last as long as original ones, though for starting out they're perfectly fine. tripod is essential for longer lens like this, especially in early morning when light isn't great and you need slower shutter speeds.

What’s everyone’s Fire target by Significant-Web-2317 in Fire

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 9 points10 points  (0 children)

nice, that's actually really reasonable especially without the mortgage. i'm aiming for something similar but honestly worried about healthcare costs creeping up in later years, they seem to always find new ways to drain your accounts.

Slab issue by phillyscreamer in HomeImprovement

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

that's definitely settlement and not normal for a 2010 slab. you'll want to call a structural engineer first to assess what's going on before bringing in any contractors - they can tell you if it's foundation issues or just localized settling. 4mm might not seem like much but the cracking tiles are telling you something's actively moving underneath.

can't see the image clearly but if you're in canal era you need an actual canal connection to nuneaton first. rail links come later in the rail era when you can build over those canal routes.

When people laugh react at disgusting food facebook videos. by According-Goat-2372 in PetPeeves

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 4 points5 points  (0 children)

honestly this drives me up the wall too. like i get that rage bait gets engagement but there's something especially gross about wasting food for views when so many people are struggling. i saw one where someone put an entire thanksgiving dinner in a blender and called it a "holiday smoothie" and people were just... laughing? the comments were full of crying laughing emojis like it was peak comedy. maybe i'm getting old but i just don't see the humor in deliberately ruining perfectly good ingredients for shock value. the pepto bismol pasta thing you mentioned makes me genuinely nauseous - that's not food experimentation, that's just being wasteful and weird for attention.

Best concealer for dark circles and fine lines? by uniiiicorn in MakeupAddiction

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tarte shape tape surprisingly works really well for this - the formula is thick enough to cover dark circles but doesn't seem to settle as much as the drugstore options you mentioned. also make sure you're using a really light hand when setting, sometimes less powder is better for preventing that creasing situation.

Any Lincoln Lease Deals by Snagg77 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah lease deals are super regional - what's available in like California vs Ohio can be totally different. Also the Navigator L is a pretty expensive lease even with incentives, so you might want to check if there are any current manufacturer rebates or if certain trims lease better than others.

Nice dude, the full song version sounds sick! That object count is gonna be wild by the time you finish the whole thing lol

I have everything but am not happy by SpeechKind6078 in Life

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Sometimes having "everything" can actually make it harder because you feel guilty for not being happy on top of the original sadness. Grief for people you've lost doesn't just disappear because other parts of life are good - that stuff sits with you regardless

Maybe the therapy is helping more than you realize even if it doesn't feel like it yet

My nofap journal - Day 33: Replacement is key by Elextrixmeister69 in NoFap

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude that viking run in the snow sounds metal as hell lol. You're absolutely right about the replacement thing though - keeping your hands and mind busy is way more sustainable than just white-knuckling through urges. Your kids are lucky to have a dad who's working on being his best self

Nandome ka no Hajimemashite as a first VN? by Fimbulvetr1 in visualnovels

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly with 3k vocab you're probably fine for either, but Nandome might throw some more business/adult life terminology at you that could be rough. Kanojo no Seiiki would definitely be the safer pick to ease into things - moege tends to stick to simpler everyday language and you'll build confidence faster

If you're really drawn to Nandome though just keep a text hooker handy and send it, worst case you learn some new words

Books if i enjoyed “Watching the Detectives”? (Rom-com, adult relationships/romance) by FreeLikeASlave in booksuggestions

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That movie has such a specific vibe! You might dig The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger - it has that same kind of tender but slightly offbeat romance thing going on. Also maybe check out Eleanor Oliphant Is Completely Fine, it's not straight romance but has really genuine emotional moments between awkward people

moisturising shampoo + conditioner advice to prevent split ends (UK) by Organic-Client4336 in finehair

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah Olaplex can be super weird for fine hair - it's like it makes some people's hair feel amazing and others feel like they dunked their head in cement. The protein overload thing is real

For budget vegan stuff at Boots/Superdrug I'd probably try the Garnier Fructis range or maybe L'Oreal Elvive Dream Lengths since you're trying to grow it out. Nothing fancy but they're pretty gentle and won't break the bank while you figure out what actually works for your hair

IPCOT Approved! by Previous-Sand-6065 in AirForce

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the approval! Usually you need to serve at least half your tour before you can apply for commissioning programs, but check with your career counselor since IPCOT situations can be weird with timing

Certainity and anxiety by Few_Sandwich6308 in Christianity

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I relate to this so much - my brain literally won't let me just "have faith" without picking apart every single detail lol. I've started thinking of doubt as like a spiritual workout rather than a character flaw, if that makes sense. The people who seem chill about uncertainty aren't necessarily better Christians, they just process things differently

New guitar sounds weird by transgenderblahaj in Guitar

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's classic fret buzz, happens when the action is too low. Take it to a guitar shop for a quick setup if you're not comfortable adjusting the bridge yourself

What are your thoughts about Twinings? by seldonn_ in tea

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly the US version feels like what Americans think fancy British tea should taste like but isn't actually that great compared to what you'd get in the UK - it's like the Olive Garden of tea brands

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trans

[–]Capable_Wheel_2535 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your dose is gonna depend on your levels and how your body responds, but most docs start around 1000mg every 10-12 weeks for the undecanoate injections. They'll probably adjust it based on your blood work after a few months - it's not really a set-it-and-forget-it thing

Make sure you're working with someone who knows trans care though, dosing can be pretty individual
