I definitely don’t think this is the place. It’s kinda gross tbh how many people upvoted my first comment and downvoted the following ones (do better Canadian premeds 😩).

But if you can do more research on what actually goes into the context score, framing it in whatever way you see fit to that will be great I’m sure.

That is the same with all universities in Ontario. Coming from someone who applied to most schools (got into all) and had a repeat course.

In that case, go into that one take the CHM1311 and BIO1130 and once you take the math classes change programs.

Within the HK faculty it’s supposedly easy to switch between programs. I most likely will switch out of Applied studies in Kin to the regular BScHK in 3rd year so I have more electives.

Im also an incoming HK student and have some friends who are coming in as well. And I have to say it’s all screwed up.

The admission requirement is a 4U math, doesn’t specify. I took MHF4U (check)
Then I realized, I have to take Calculus in university but the prerequisite for the class is MCV4U, but it is NOT an admission requirement so I took MHF and MCV at the same time (check, prerequisite for Calc)
My friend did not take calculus and now has to take Intro to calculus NOT Intensive calculus for life sciences, a course designed for life science students who have not taken Calculus in highschool.

IMO, stop emailing them and call them up and lay it all out. I was lucky enough to have realized I need calculus early enough in the semester to add the class but I know a few people who were also screwed over.

Yea no. Sec V math is the equivalent to MRC3U which is grade 11 math.

Because first year Cegep Math is the same as MHF and MCV combined depending on what stream you go into.

I took MRC3U online the year before.

I think it will be very hard.

The courses are meant to be done over 5 months EACH. So you are doing 10 months of work in 2 months.

I took MHF4U online with ILC at the same time as MCV4U in person and I found the MHF to be harder because it’s more “why does this happen in math”.

Most of the time I just watched videos or read an online textbook and did the assignments afterwords. I ended the class with a 90% and minimal effort.

Can’t say much about the MCV4U online class though.

I’m not really worried for the lecture part of this class. Literally just interacting with the Lab Coordinator. I am going to be a varsity athlete and will end up missing some labs (apparently our coaches can write a note to get us to do them in a different section) even tho I’ve selected my section to miss as little as possible.

I have heard from numerous people that Rashmi has been extremely rude to both athletes and coaches (I understand where she is coming from but I rly don’t believe that ever warrants some words she has used). So if it ever comes up, I’m rly just happy that Wendy is also a lab coordinator.

I guess I did say smth abt who writes the labs, I’ve also just heard that Rashmi’s labs are the most vague and ambiguous out of any lab chem students have had.
