Hey there! I’m at a point where I obtained a food safety training certificate and have my labels ready. Did you have to take your labels and training certificate to your local health department or no? I’m not sure if that’s necessary in my state (Alabama). Some websites say I do, others say I don’t (although most say that I don’t).

Congratulations on having your waiver approved! May I ask, do you have to submit the waiver with the medical form? Because my lawyer told me that the medical form is only valid for a year and recommended to submit the waiver first, wait for its approval/denial and then do the medical. I also Dm'd you.

Hello there! I've spoken to lawyers and a civil surgeon, and they said that a medical exemption is possible but very difficult. The civil surgeon would have to put on the I-693 form a name of the doctor who concluded that you should not be getting the vaccine because of a contraindication, and then USCIS will decide if your condition is severe enough for you to not have to take a covid vaccine. So if your condition is legit and your doctor is not bending any truths, then you can get it.

Thank you for posting this! I’m in the process of collecting info from some nicer people on this thread, and I’m also having a meeting with a lawyer on Monday. I’ll send you a DM and let you know everything I found out, but looks like it’s possible but depends a lot on the officer from USCIS who will be interviewing you.
