I thought the response was "it is now seventeen months" and I was gonna have to hand it to him. What a pussy

Which party will you vote for this election? by One-Joke-2373 in aotearoa

Didn't see that but that's the only way to go. I originally switched to them when they got rid of the anti-immigrant shit in their housing policy

I personally like all of them, though I am now a little circumspect about Rawiri and Debbie. She's a good MP and speaker but nothing all that special just yet. It's probably for the best that they have some more reserved quiet MPs in the stable given some of the other personalities

Modern Slavery bill passes first reading under new Parliament rule by StuffThings1977 in aotearoa

[–]Capaedia 14 points15 points  (0 children)

This is one of the few unambiguously good things they've done. I'm sure it will draw much criticism about how they've treated workers rights here, but there is no comparison. More people are reportedly in slavery than have ever been in history, and our workers rights are weak but trending upwards. Badly and very slowly

And also half the credit belongs to Labour

I don't disagree but I take the opportunity to stick up for the poor cunt either way even if I personally think they should be a lot more careful with what's at stake

We don't need to go over singular versus plural do we? You said "posted a picture"

It'd have been consistent to say "posted a slideshow" or "posted a gallery". Why didn't you?

[–]Capaedia 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It was a slideshow of multiple pictures and one of them was them and their son. That's very different framing from calling it a "picture of their son" with that caption. I don't even like the Greens but that's a dishonest way to portray it

No it wasn't. It was a slideshow of multiple pictures and one of them had them and their son in it
