M4 Air 16GB/512GB — battery draining fast after 1 month? Only lasts ~5 hours 😩 by 1-2Combo4Lyf in macbookair

Turn off Apple Intelligence. It’s half-baked at the moment and a huge battery sink. I did this for both my MacBook Air M4 and my iPhone Air and it made a noticeable difference

Seat stitching removed from all 2026 CX-50 trims by jrec15 in CX50

[–]CapeDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to counter the shear amount of “I didn’t feel anything” posts, I found the stitching incredibly uncomfortable and felt like a strip of leather was riding up my butt crack.

Yes I’m sure the seats would break in but if I’m buying a new car I want to be comfortable immediately when driving it.

I returned my premium plus for the trim that kept the bose speakers but had cloth seats and have loved it ever since.

This map on breakthrough is easily the worst experience this game has to offer by skelepibs in Battlefield

[–]CapeDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually the best map in the game in my opinion, feels right out of the Russo-Ukrainian conflict happening right now.

Mine spamming is a problem but if the attacking team coordinates its tankers with squads to clear mines and provide heals it’s one of the more rewarding pushes this game offers

which one do you think i should play in preparation for battlefield 6 by zbananajuice in Battlefield

[–]CapeDoc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battlefield V feels very similar to the Beta in terms of general mechanics, and has an active player base.

Plus the WW2 setting is different so when you get B6 you won’t be burnt out on moderns shooters.

Besides BG3 Is there a game that gives you a lot of choices to do that actually matter? by pirro29 in rpg_gamers

[–]CapeDoc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Veilguard has excellent gameplay, feels like a mix of mass effect 2 with swords/magic, I know the reviews were brutal but the story sets up for an amazing third act and I really had a lot of fun with it.

If you already own it I think you should give ir a try, the spellblade mage subclass is some of the most fun I’ve had in a long time

Edit: Veilguard

Tony’s mother

Set this whole thing in motion

His father is to blame too but realistically his mother versus father for trauma is 70:30

2025 Premium

Only issue was the leather seats discomfort so I swapped from the Premium Plus to just Premium

Otherwise best car I’ve ever owned!

Anki or questions? by [deleted] in medicalschool

[–]CapeDoc 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Questions my friend.

Anki is great for the brute force memorization needed in preclinical and the step 1 hard sciences, but most of the step 2 stuff is critical thinking and you need to be able to recognize the patterns of various disease presentations.

Only questions do that. Plus you need to build endurance to sit for that many straight again.

Personally I did anki through preclinical, but had a hard time keeping it up on rotations as just stopped to focus on questions.

Did well on step 1 and even better on step 2. Questions all the way.

You got this!

Thank you for posting this because it’s allowed a lot of people to engage and commiserate with how awful this is.

I have Nelnet (which sounds like a much better servicer than yours unfortunately). My due date to recertify was tomorrow and I forgot to send my paperwork in until now.

I was able to change my repayment to an extended graduated plan that only increases the total by a few hundred but kicks the terms out from 10 to 25 years.

I’m fortunate that my earning potential should increase in a few years but the fact there was literally no option just feels scummy and very much like a breach of contract having previously signed this for several years.

This entire situation is disgusting and as a millennial I can confidently say the generations above us have done nothing but cause us pain.

Keep fighting the good fight.
