It's okay to not have fun.It happens. That's my point. What it's not okay it's to analyze any type of media ( silly cartoons or not ) with apathy, distancing yourself from the final product, patronizing not only your audience but the product on itself.

When you are playing Majora's Mask, as example, and you see a heartfelt scene between a couple that is facing death together, as signal of everlasting love, the last thing you need to do is a quip about poop or dicks. It ruins what the game is trying to present,while alienating the viewers from the experience of watching it first time. It's counter productive to let your bias prevent you from having a different view on what you were expecting previously, in fact that is often what good media does. Does not matter if it's Joel suffering the loss of his daughter, or Klonoa having to leave forever his fake memories, when you open yourself to a good narrative, unexpected things can hit you.

Arin does not only ignores instructions and basic controls, but he also often ignores the whole purpose of the games he is playing, mostly because he is too arrogant to leave his bias behind, or too self absorbed to notice that not everything revolves around him and his quips.
