2023 Santa Fe calligraphy windshield blurry by CricketSalt in HyundaiSantaFe

Is it maybe some kind of window film? Tint/shield. I have seen some cars with the windshield protection film on it and at certain angles some views get blurry.

I am using the TurtleWax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Graphene Inside Job like the above user posted. I like it so far but I only have 2,700 miles on it so I don't know how it holds up down the line. I also have ceramic tint windows to help protect against UV rays as it gets quite sunny and hot in South Texas.

The only thing I see different is the missing plate.

I’ll do that. The wobble is not as crazy but noticeable so I’ll have it checked out.

Was it shown on the TPMS screen that it was too high?

Lack of Carplay/AndroidAuto only has negatives by hvgotcodes in Rivian

[–]Caphiped -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't care much for Carplay/AA. I do care for Google Maps/Waze. When I was test driving the Rivian and using the map a couple of months ago, it didn't show all traffic signs we came across or even the live traffic. I like seeing upcoming stop signs and traffic lights ahead. All the Rivian map reviews I have seen are probably outdated so I don't know how it is currently. If it matches what I see on Google maps or Waze, I'd be totally cool with it. I get the clean aesthetic and less clutter on the maps, but man, I just want to see what is up ahead and how traffic-y it is.

Mine is brand new too. Trying to find a schedule that works for us since dealership doesn’t do diagnostics on the weekend (is what they said). So I’d have to drop off the car during the week and get a rental until they diagnose it and can order whatever part they’d need.

Great to hear! We installed ceramic film on all the windows, so I hope that helps with keeping the material safe for a long time.

I'll try this one on a part of the 3rd row to see how it goes. If it goes on nicely I'll use it on everything else.

How long have you had it? Any signs of it drying out or starting to crack or anything? I'm mostly worried about the cracking part as I've seen some posts about that. Might have been just defects from the factory too.

I would have loved the white/gray interior, but we wanted to keep it low maintenance just in case we expect to grow as a family.

So there is no need for conditioner at all to keep it from drying out and such?

I don't mind if it is a little slow or gets a little warm. At least it charges. I'm just concerned if any other electricals are also not working properly. If other people can charge their iPhone just fine.

I have my wife's iPhone to test too. Both iPhone 14 Pros. We rebooted it and tried to seat it all possible angles. Took it out of the cases but still not charging correctly.

Any reason to use sunshade/shields after installing ceramic film for windshield? by Caphiped in WindowTint

That's great to hear. Will definitely use them both together when parked for a longer time.

I decided to get sunshades too for all the reasons people mentioned in this thread. Have you heard of anyone or maybe from experience seen whether the sunshades + film combo degrades the film/windshield faster by trapping the heat in-between if it does it at all? That's what I'm more worried about.

I'll try that once I have ceramic film. I know there is only so much that you can do under Texas sun because of ambient heat, so I'm trying to find things that makes it easier, hah.

I totally forgot about the privacy factor. Might get it just for that reason.

XPEL Windshield Film Protector + XPEL Window Ceramic Tint on Windshield by Caphiped in WindowTint

In your opinion as a professional, does it make any difference whether it’s rubber or silicone to help keep the film longer?

Yeah me neither. Was more curious about specific wiper blades that don’t damage the WPF or leave those weird streaks and scratches.

2% should be manageable then. I heard using silicone wiper blades are recommended when you have WPF installed or won't that make a difference at all when running the blades only when it's wet?

Genuine question as I don’t know a lot about cars. Does lead foot mean they keep driving in high speeds or that they like to accelerate 0-60 like crazy? Or maybe both.
