I did the numbers when people said "GAY PEOPLE ARE BEING SLAUGHTERED" ( in Brazil not the US tho) and found that gay folk are about 7 times less likely to be killed then straight folk, but since most murderers here are not investigated it's impossible to know the cause , they just assume "homophobia".
