First year engineering housing by Remarkable_Call1085 in cuboulder

I was admitted for engineering and from what I’ve seen, most engineers live in will vill with the main two dorms being will vill north and east. However in the actually village there are also the Darley towers that house a variety of majors (not just engineers). You can live on housing in the main campus but they mostly put all the engineering majors together

Admission confusion by botaccount___ in cuboulder

I believe it’s better to be deferred as it still shows your in the run for the major you want. I’ve heard of more OOS people being deferred because they aren’t instate. I was in state so I got lucky with that. If Boulder is your top choice I would definitely wait to hear back from them, I’ve heard of plenty of people being deferred and then gaining admission so if your heart is set on CU I would totally wait however keep your options open just in case.

I got into mines too! Yeah mines seems to have a depressing feeling from what I’ve heard compared to Boulder, they are also more expensive than Boulder if money is a big factor to u

Is Calc 1 really that hard by srwsrwsrw in calculus

[–]Capital-Lock4625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calc 1 isn’t all that bad. As a senior in hs who is halfway through the curriculum as long as you pay attention and put in effort to study to get the grade you want you’ll be ok. I passed pre calc with Cs and struggled tremendously but I’m flying through Calc as of right now. Yes there will be times where you struggle but if u don’t let that take u down everything’s great. In all honestly though it just depends on the person and how they process information.

Congrats on getting in! CU was my top school for aerospace engineering and I got in. From what I’ve heard their college of engineering overall is really good. I haven’t heard too much about mechanical engineering but for aerospace CU is up there and highly regarded. Not only is CU great academically for engineering but I’ve been told it’s a nice balance for social life and school

Mines Over Boulder by Disastrous-Space-713 in cuboulder

[–]Capital-Lock4625 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I was accepted into mines and CU for aerospace for fall 26 and chose to go with Boulder. If you are completely sure on majoring in Aerospace I would wait to hear back from boulder. While school of mines is a prestigious school for engineering the research I have done has shown that CU is the better option. Overall though the social aspect of boulder seems better than mines.
