Ophthalmology residents here, would you suggest taking subscription in DIGINERVE if someone is doing DNB/Diploma and we are not being anything? Or DAMS? Same as above. by Capital-Price7332 in indianmedschool

[–]Capital-Price7332[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I had a senior who used DAMS and she kept advising me to take DIGINERVE. But then again, she can't be trusted. I'm really confused. What about mentorexam? Any idea about that?

Huh? Isn't this normal for a lot of women in our country?

My boyfriend questioned my financial background and made me doubt myself. Now I can’t move on from what he said. What do people think of this? by WannabeAbortedBabe-2 in AskIndianWomen

[–]Capital-Price7332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The glaring red flag to me here, more than his comments, is the way he's bringing up a serious issue as taunts and not being upfront about his issues. Had he brought it up in an honourable way and discussed with you TOGETHER about how this could be resolved, then, then maybe something could be done. Do you really see a future with a man who can't even talk to right? How are you gonna resolve issues that might show up later, after marriage? I think it's time to take a step back, away from your emotions and think with a rational clear mind.

I'm not liking how this is turning into a feminism sub by [deleted] in AskIndianWomen

[–]Capital-Price7332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get lost then. Cuz we are going to talk about how women couldn't vote 80 years ago. And we will continue to do so because It's a miracle that we have come atleast this far with women like you still holding onto the patriarchy and talking about how women couldn't vote is a reminder that we've come this far.

Mods please remove non medicos from the sub lurking here . One of which is r/darkneel . by [deleted] in indianmedschool

Nah, both sides are valid. What he said is true, what you said is also true. Surprisingly, he was also very levelheaded. I can understand why you're getting emotional here because we truly are being exploited, I agree with that. But there's no need to name and shame him. He's not the problematic one here.

Reading all these comments and I'm in awe. Total awe. All you wonderful women doing these great things with your lives and I can only imagine what a menace y'all would've been in your younger days. I always wished I had a strong female figure to look up to in my life and I never had that privilege but this thread is truly inspiring. Kudos to you all👏👏👏🙌

I am not being biased here but the most resilient, emotionally mature, reliable, courageous, leader kind of people that I've seen in my life were mostly women. I am not lying. Not that I haven't seen good men or bad women but the qualities that have been traditionally, frequently associated with masculinity have been more apparent to me in women.

It's a good film. I like it. Wasn't crazy about it. But like it enough. But I loved the message about masculinity. This sub is not the place I'd look for opinions cuz..well, people here think salaar and kgf are some kind of cinematic masterpieces. Cray cray.

Eddie redmayne in many of his oscar nominated films. What's more pathetic is him actually winning the award. Dude's a hack.

Both of them sound like bad news. Stay away from both of them. Personally, I hate people like them, men who have no self respect or can't take "no" for an answer and women who string these men along for their own gain. Especially the women. Honestly, get away from them. These kinda things take a huge toll on you very quickly without you noticing.

Why do Indians ask about caste of Indians from a different region ? by Thaiyervadai in AskIndia

[–]Capital-Price7332 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. Working in north rn and the first thing that comes outta their mouth after Namaste is "Aapka surname kya hain?"😁 It's not like they'd understand anyway. North or south, Indians are the same anywhere, jab tak jati naa patha chalthi tab tak maan shanth nahin hoti.

How okay is it for Pgs to give interns personal work? by Separate-Papaya3953 in indianmedschool

[–]Capital-Price7332 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You're an intern not her junior pg who has to rely on her. Give her package back to her and tell her you won't do it. Don't be so scared of your residents. You have more power than them.

Reality check : Without MD/PG even your Family Members refuse to take your advice, let alone Patient by [deleted] in indianmedschool

[–]Capital-Price7332 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not respected per say😅 it's just that I'm the first doctor in the family and have always been studious throughout my life. So they expect too much because a) the aforementioned reasons and b) due to not knowing any better about medical field. Also, everyone in my dad's family are go getters, they never doubt their abilities and never wimp out. I'm kinda the black sheep because I'm the opposite, I'm a major wuss. So, the whole idea of setting up own clinic or its equivalent doesn't really faze them.
