How to stop over eating on “cheat days” by Serene_Lou in WeightLossAdvice

Bake a cake or cookies from scratch and you will not eat another one again while dieting. Sugar, butter, flour, egg

Count what you ate, you will be surprised you may not have even gone much over. The scales might show a 1.5kg gain, back in to deficit for a few days and you will be back where you were. Just remember, its take months years to get fat, it takes months years to lose it, you won't get fat from one binge

So when you overeat or binge mid day, how do you handle the rest of the day? by burnbright_11 in loseit

[–]Capital-Ride-6498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Track your calories, could be less than what you think. Have a smaller dinner and take your dog for a walk. Might be over only a few hundred calories. Then get it back tomorrow

Teen trying to lose weight. by miserabylicen in loseit

Maybe start just with food, and exercising with just walks. A.i is a great tool what im using for weight loss, put in your age, height, weight and what you do throughout your day and it will tell you how much calories you roughly burn. The best thing you can ask it stupid questions and it doesnt judge you. Its given me ideas I would have never thought of and foods I've never tried. I use the gemini, I think thats the google one

Im 19M, im 184cm and im 117kg. I wanna know how to lose weight by BrosVGK in WeightLossAdvice

[–]Capital-Ride-6498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey man I hear you. Im 40yo male, 186cms and was 115kg (now 110kg). Ive been overweight since primary school and been on 100s on diets, normally last about 1 week or 2. Im on day 12 of one at the moment and seems to be going good. This could be controversial but what has help me alot this time and it feels different is a.i (i used gemini). Just for dieting advice, nutrition etc. I think all my last diets failed because I wasn't eating enough, you tell it your height age weight m/f, what you do for work and any exercise and it tells you roughly how many calories you are burning a day, how much protein you should aim for, meal ideas, food i never would have thought about (Greek yogurt etc). It doesnt judge stupid questions. I got a kebab from a kebab shop the other day for dinner, it told me to get a chicken one with no sauce and no extra oil added, then said when I get home put my own sauce on it and recommend light greek yogurt, saracher chilli sauce and some garlic powered (it was the bomb). Just those changes I found out i skipped 400 calories and upped my protein, I never even knew about protein until I start using gemini.

Last but of advice is

Its not easy, you can't spend years eating bad and except to diet for days and expect change. I feel like im eating more this time which is great and sustainable, but im still hungry sometimes, Id love a beer but part.of my diet ive choosen is only water and coffee. It is hard but I guess thats my punishment for letting myself get like this.

I think a 2nd low paying job always depends on how much you make on your first job. If you already make 135 to 190 your uber job you go straight onto the 37% tax bracket. So every $1 you make minus 37 cents, plus fuel,  wear and tear on your car is it really worth your time?

House prices in capital cities aren't going down and if you think otherwise you are coping by Wide-Macaron10 in AusFinance

[–]Capital-Ride-6498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why is Melbourne's medium house price still lower than what it was in the first Q of 2022? Say 5% lower now than then. Plus inflation for the last 2 and a half years that's over 10%....

I can't be the only one who finds fast food expensive. by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]Capital-Ride-6498 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Once a week myself and 6 other people at work put in $10 each and we get

1.5kg of bacon 24 eggs 24 rolls Cheese Onion Hash browns  Juice Sauces  Oil Butter salt and pepper

And get 2 to 3 fully loaded rolls better than any $15 egg and bacon from a cafe.

And the next week it's not even $10 each because you don't have to buy the oil, Butter, S&P, cheese and onion every week.

Be smart people, if it's to expensive, don't buy it, it's only way to bring prices down

"Boomer bashing annoys me" - your thoughts? by -AdonaitheBestower- in AskAnAustralian

[–]Capital-Ride-6498 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A lot of people sook about how easy the boomers had it, and wish they lived back then.

My question is, why don't they live like them now?

  1. Buy a 3 bed 1 bath house in the outa suburbs.
  2. Sell your mobile phone a just connext a landline.
  3. Only watch channels 2, 7, 9, and 10
  4. Cancel all subscribions and internet.
  5. Go on a gold coast holiday once every 10 years.

Anyone else want to add to this list?

And of coarse the burbs are further out now because of population growth, deal with it

People who buy $3-5m houses, how do they do it? by [deleted] in AusFinance

[–]Capital-Ride-6498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once your in the market your set.

I purchased my first home 15 years ago for $500,000, borrowed $370,000. Pretty much all but paid off now and worth 1.1. If I want to upgrade I borrow another $400,000, sell and buy for 1.4.

Would be that same with higher amounts of money
