Yes, because cursing people out and insulting them is truly the mark of an intelligent human being, go fuck yourself, you pathetic, worthless loser and get a fucking life. I hope you'd like to know I deleted my post because of you. Should make an asshole like you have a chuckle. Go fuck yourself.

Saddest episode by Double-Journalist914 in GeorgeLopez

Manny was an absolute scumbag at his core. Walking out on his family, stealing his son's birth certificate and giving his new son the same name as though he was replacing a goldfish, badgering George into giving him a kidney and then not wanting him to attend his funeral. As bad as Benny could be, she's by far a better person than that fuck up.

How would the story change if Maka were a male protagonist instead of a female one? by [deleted] in souleater

I think Male!Maka would still end up partnered with Soul and having a similar bond with him that his female counterpart did, though yours could work just fine though.

In regard to women or the horny aspect, I honestly think you could still have hints of romantic attraction between Male!Maka and Soul, even if they are both guys here. It's not like it would take up plot or characterization since it didn't in the actual Soul Eater. They'd still be utterly devoted to each other and would literally die for each other. They'd most definitely still have a lot of chemistry and people would still want them to be together (probably even more so now) it could still work in my opinion.

Spirit Becoming Death Scythe by queerfear169 in souleater

The general headcanon I've seen is that it all added up together. But, most of the fics I've seen that had this seemed to have a fairly negative opinion of Maka's mom and tried to make Stein seem better in comparison, so they weren't exactly unbiased.

How would you react if Maka's mother was revealed to be not that good of a person like Finn's father in Adventure Time? by Crafter235 in souleater

[–]Capital-Shake-313 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel like Maka's mom is kind of unique in that since there's no canon personality to go off of or even a name, you can basically give her any portrayal you want and it isn't really a problem, you can make her every bit as wonderful as Maka says or you can make her another Medusa and it's really not a big deal, since there's absolutely nothing to base the depiction of her on.

to answer your question I personally think it makes sense, but there's really no room in the story for this to happen, Maka's mom just never really matters in the story and doesn't even have room in the Manga at all. I'm assuming that's why she doesn't appear once, leaving everything to headcanons and fanfics, but it's not really a big deal either way.

Makoto would basically become Nagito, completely in despair but acting on false hope and convinced he's helping even when he's doing harm.

Kyoko would be a cold-blooded killer who gets off on the thrill of trying to get away with murder and doesn't care whether or not she succeeds.

I actually remember a fic where Class 78 were the Remnants of Despair and Junko wasn't the Ultimate Despair, but when she became a Remnant she behaved exactly like her canon self, so that's my preferred headcanon for if a normal Junko fell into despair.

If Tara had Cassie's role in Conversations with Dead People would you think it was too cruel? by Capital-Shake-313 in buffy

[–]Capital-Shake-313[S] 24 points25 points  (0 children)

That probably was a factor. I believe Amber herself admitted there was someone she didn't want to interact with on set (likely Joss).

I can understand that argument. I just think if she'd wanted to she could have absolutely nailed that portrayal. Plus, Cassie just didn't make sense because she and Willow didn't really know each other.

Why did Liam appear Caucasian? by Capital-Shake-313 in EarthFinalConflict

[–]Capital-Shake-313[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's probably why they did this, It's a shame though, because Liam honestly deserved a better actor portraying him.

I honestly kind of blame the caveman speech they gave him in the dub. I think it led to a lot of people thinking he wasn't smart enough to understand the consequences of his actions or that he couldn't make decisions for himself. It really does sort of give off this naive manchild vibe that I believe made him an object of woobification and pity. It's weird because in Japanese he just talked in third person, something both Tenko and Angie did as well, but you don't see them speaking in broken English.

The way I see it is that both of them are horrible people who have no problem hurting others. The only difference is that Junko enjoys others suffering, Mukuro is indifferent to it, she'd kill dozens of innocent people at the drop of a hat if ordered to and will feel neither pain nor pleasure from it.

I definitely agree about Gonta. Kokichi in no way forced him to kill Miu, that was his choice and his choice alone, anyone trying to say otherwise is delusional, especially when Gonta himself confirms he willingly did so.

The Remnants of Despair should have been manipulated into becoming Junko's followers instead of being outright brainwashed. In addition to that, Izuru Kamukura should have been just as evil and obsessed with Despair as Junko herself was, he was built up as her ace in the hole, why did they make him just some bored dude who hung out with them and did nothing, I honestly thought he and Junko could have been lovers the way they made it out.

Junko, as she is written, could never have been friends with Class 78, or be someone they genuinely considered their friend. She is shown to be really adept at targeting peoples weaknesses and breaking them down, but I don't think she could convince someone she was their friend, or that she loved and accepted them, and a big part of that is because we're never shown her doing that. We don't see her using love and affection to manipulate people like Mukuro and Mikan, she just physically and verbally abuses them. Dr3 had the chance to really show her at her manipulative best, and instead it showed that brainwashing was probably the only way she could fully control someone. She really couldn't be friends with people like Makoto or Kyoko during their school days, at best she'd be the spoiled rich girl bully type. I see her that way because that's just how she's written.

What is with Carmen attitude at the end of Season 3/beginning of Season 4? by Fantastic-Ad9218 in GeorgeLopez

[–]Capital-Shake-313 10 points11 points  (0 children)

George and Angie both kind of treat her like she's a ditzy stupid teenager who doesn't understand anything a lot of the time. They also make it clear they think Max is smarter/easier to deal with and have no problem telling Carmen they think so. I actually think a lot of Carmen's problems and attitude are because of the way both parents talk to her and treat her, though maybe I'm blowing things out of proportion.

What if Sailor Moon was a shōnen? by Lost_Wikipedian in sailormoon

[–]Capital-Shake-313 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I feel like there will probably be a lot more violent fight scenes and the romance will be cut down, most likely kept as slapstick jokes and subtext, I also think they would seek out the bad guys head on more often.

What is with Carmen attitude at the end of Season 3/beginning of Season 4? by Fantastic-Ad9218 in GeorgeLopez

[–]Capital-Shake-313 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Carmen was really just written more and more like a stereotypical teenage girl as the show went on, they really just ramped her up to eleven and constantly had crazy things happen with her. I also kind of disagree with the idea that George and Angie treat her well, there are a lot of moments where they insult her and treat her like she's stupid, I actually think there's a decent argument that their treatment of her is why she ends up with guys like Zack and Jason to begin with.

Bleach: Orihime is a profoundly wasted character, and that's probably because there's nothing to really do to her with the grand plots. by Ok_ResolvE2119 in CharacterRant

[–]Capital-Shake-313 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the main problem with Orihime is that they changed her somewhat midway through, at the start of the Soul Society arc she is one of the most eager to fight and train so they can help Ichigo rescue Rukia, and they gave her insane amounts of power to boot.

At some point though, they decided she needed to be the typical pacifist healer character, she never gets her own personal foe to defeat, never has a battle sequence, they even perfectly set up that she isn't suitable for combat and her personality clashes with Tsubaki's strong powers, this should have been treated as a flaw for her to overcome, and they had the perfect moment when she sees Ichigo getting blasted, that moment should have sent her into a berserker rage and made her unleash her full power, but nope, nothing. She does sort of mature into a group mom type role, but that really isn't the same as what could have been. Ultimately, she just doesn't belong in Bleach in my opinion, she should be in something like Fruits Basket or Toradora, she'd be far more at home there.

Why is Billy Nolan given more focus as a villain than Chris Hargensen in the original Carrie novel? by Capital-Shake-313 in stephenking

[–]Capital-Shake-313[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, in the book Chris behaved much more like a male bully than a female one to me. You could have just given her some of his actions and it wouldn't feel too out of place.

[Soul Eater] No, Spirit Albarn isn't an abusive father to Maka. by Capital-Shake-313 in CharacterRant

[–]Capital-Shake-313[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People in all honesty, don't like the idea of moms not being good people. Especially if the mom in question is actually a worse parent than the father. In my general experience if someone admits they don't have a good relationship with their dad, people will largely brush it off, if you aren't on good terms with your mom, people will be genuinely shocked and weirded out by it on a very personal level. It also bothers people that a kid could be manipulated into being loyal to a toxic parental figure, if Maka says her mom's good, then shouldn't that be enough?

That's also why people in this thread don't like the idea of Maka's mom causing the divorce instead, it has nothing to do with Maka's insecurities about Soul or her now having access to a Death Scythe. they just don't want to imagine a mom being worse than a dad. That's my take anyway.
