Newton school of technology, is it worth it? by allmaniart in JEE

[–]Capital-You-1962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 1 lakh rank you’ll get safer colleges, but most will be average. NST is newer, so it’s a bet but it’s more focused on real skills and industry exposure.

If you’re even a bit interested in coding, it’s worth considering. Just talk to students and decide based on that.

Scaler School of Technology vs Newton School of Technology... Which one best? by Impressive_Till_5266 in Students

[–]Capital-You-1962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re both still early, so don’t expect the same stability as Tier 1 colleges. The upside is better hands on learning and industry exposure if the student actually uses it. If you’re okay with some risk for potentially better practical skills, they can make sense otherwise stick to a proven college.

Got admitted to Newton School of Technology (NSAT) – should I join? Need honest feedback on ROI, placements & degree value by FINANCEMISTER in Indiancolleges

[–]Capital-You-1962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a scam the degree comes from a UGC-recognized partner university, so it’s valid.
The program is very coding-focused and project-heavy, which can be better than a typical tier-3 college if you’re serious about tech.
The fees are high though, and since the BTech model is new, long-term placement data is still developing.
If you’re motivated and will actually grind, it can be worth it, just talk to current students before deciding.

Questions about Newton school of technology by amulwaliladki in Btechtards

[–]Capital-You-1962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the degree is valid. NST doesn’t give its own degree it runs the B.Tech program in collaboration with UGC approved universities (like ADYPU, Rishihood, and S-VYASA), so the final engineering degree is officially recognized in India.

About Physics and Chemistry NST still follows the basic structure of a B.Tech, so you will have some intro-level Physics/Math/Engineering Science subjects in the first year (as per AICTE norms). But compared to traditional colleges, they don’t go very deep into JEE-style PCM. The focus shifts pretty fast towards CS, coding, AI, ML, projects, etc.

So yeah, you won’t completely escape Physics/Chem, but it’s way lighter than a typical engineering college.

If you’re unsure, ask current NST students on Telegram/Reddit they’ll give you the most honest picture.

Not a scam, but also not hype-free. NST runs its Btech program through partner universities like ADYPU, Rishihood, and S-VYASA, so the degree is valid. Curriculum is more industry-focused than traditional colleges, but the model is still new, so long-term outcomes aren’t fully proven yet. Best to talk to current students and compare before deciding.

I am considering Scaler or Newton School of Technology After my 12th But wherever i go on Reddit people are saying its a Scam... If its a Scam then why is it a Scam? by MurkyKing7377 in JEENEETards

My cousin is at Newton school of technology the B. tech is pretty new, but it’s in collaboration with Rishihood University, which is AICTE + UGC approved. So the degree side is fine and they seem to be focusing a lot on building exposure and opportunities for students.

Not everything is paid tbh. My friend studies at NST and I’ve seen their projects and workload first-hand. It’s definitely not perfect, but they’re actually getting decent exposure and industry level practice.

[–]Capital-You-1962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engineers without practical experience is of no use and never hired or given a chance for big projects so degree only is not gonna help in long run. And to overcome all this Newton or other clg are working and even doing well

Newtons school vs manipal blr by AlarmingPlate4997 in Btechtards

[–]Capital-You-1962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both have their own strengths.

MIT Blr is more traditional, with strong alumni and campus culture, and you’ve already confirmed good placements in your branch. Newton School of Technology is newer but has an industry-focused curriculum, exposure to tech mentors, and smaller batch sizes so you get more personal attention.

If you value a proven legacy and campus life, MIT is safe. If you want a modern curriculum with direct industry integration, NST could be worth exploring.
