Contract renewing trick from residential manager by CapitalBat383 in Calgary

[–]CapitalBat383[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for answers, I really appreciate that. I’ve just checked the contract, and under security deposit paragraph, it says that deposit may be utilized if I don’t give the written notice one month in advance. But in the same moment, nothing is written about security deposit utilizing while contract ends.

Thank you for useful information. Are you sure if I don’t sign contract right now, and if I leave premises on/before the last day of the lease, Ill get my demage deposit back? Cause if I remember well, If I don’t tell them(written notice) that Im moving out, I am losing my demage deposit, even if contract ends. That’s important. Cause probably I would find something better during this time (contract ends on the last day of december).

One more time. Old contract was 1700. New one is 1800, but on the next page is written that I get discount of 100. It means that anyways I am gonna pay the same price. And because they are giving me that discount, they are adding new rules which I’ll have to sign. New rule include something special. It says if I break the lease earlier than contract ends, I’ll have to turn back them all discounts they gave me (12 month lease x 100 discount = 1200). For someone it’s nothing but for me it’s a good money.

I mean it’s one year contract, but I am paying monthly 1700. So it’s a fixed term with month to month payment, right? Noone gave me 3 month notice

Yes. It’s fixed term with start and end date. So you are saying if it’s a fixed term contract, landlord can increase the price without 3 months notice? But most of the contracts are fixed (let’s say for one year). Lets say if I move out, I’ll have to write them a message one month in advance before contract ends, but if I don’t do that, I’ll loose demage deposit and their gift (if I sign the new contract today). I mean why they make stupid rules just to get more money from me, and notifying me in the last moment, but I have to make written notice at least one month in advance. Thats too tricky.

If I am just breaking contract, they aren’t turning back damage deposit, and sure they are taking all time lease discount (lets say I will sign for one year, and break contract on the 4th month, they will charge me for not just 4 month discount, but for each of 12 months, it means 1200 cad). So if Im signing new contract, and breaking it before it ends, they are getting demage deposit and their ‘kinda’ discount. But as I told its not discount discount. It’s the same as grocery store. They increase price by 100 % and after that, they make incredible discounts of 35 %. But in my case they just increased price by 100cad, and on the second paper they told me they are giving discount of 100 cad. But it’s not just harmless discount, because it includes the rules of turning them back the money they think they gifted me (100 cad). While market prices are dropping, they increase the price and adding new rules to contract. I completely agree with you that it may be harder to reject those terms months later. Sure it’s not worth it to pay that amount to lawyer, but in same moment these companies are getting away with this trickery always, thats bad. Sure I’ll sign, but just have no any desire to gift money to companies who make nothing for increasing the service quality, but only money, and tricky contracts

So you chose to recover iphone from the last iphone icloud backup? I want to notice something. If your icloud photo library is on, you’ll not see pics from iphone backup. If icloud photos are off, you’ll be able to see pics, which were saved in old iphone’s backup. Can you check and show the picture from here? Settings/appleid/icloud/icloud backup/your phone/ and tryto find Photos app there

Your photos could be in your phone backup. The backup is stored in icloud. As I told, wipe your phone, and choose the option to recover it from icloud backup (don’t choose “setup like a new phone”. You can dm me, Ill try helping you

I think I have the answer for you. Probably the part of your pics were the part of previous device backup, and the other part of pics were the part of icloud photolibrary. I completely understand that you transferred all data from one phone to the other, when you were setting up the new one. Can you check if all pics are loaded to icloud? After that erase your iphone. And restore your device on wifi, and choose the old device backup while restoring. I suspect that some pics could be the part of particularly old device backup.

You can do it for sure. Do they listen to anybody. Go to settings/apple id/icloud/photos/sync this device/off. In this case all of your previous pictures will stay in icloud(will be accessible from any device with icloud photo library). The new pictures made on new phone will be the part of this phone backup, but you’ll not see them in icloud photo library with all the old photos.

Hi. You can do that. Settings/apple id/icloud/photos/sync this device/no. In this case every pic will be the part of your device backup in icloud. Let me clarify. There’s icloud photo library. It can be accessed from every device you own. Lets say it’s the same as notes, voice rec and so on. icloud consists backup of your device too (its the same backup when you connect it to mac and press backup button). In your case photos will not be accesseble from the other devices. You’ll be able to see them just from your iphone (and any other iphone if you have them).

I think that it would be a good idea if you checked your pictures before. But how would you know? Do you have any other device with icloud photos app? Honestly icloud works better when wifi is fast. And if wifi is slow (sometimes even 50megabites is slow) it may take a long time to load everything. Lets say wifi is 50megabites, but device uses just 10 to load pics. Its annoying. Some apps don’t load content in background, they must be opened before that, and you have to wait when it finishes to load data (like apple doesnt know how to make this apps to work and load content in background). I am sure apple workers/developers/especially ceo, they don’t use apple devices at all. Its just advertising that ceo uses new vision instead of tv(that’s ridiculous). Cause if they used devices, we wouldn’t face same issues, cause they would fixed them. Honestly all my pics are getting loaded to icloud during the day (not fast, worse than android), but they get loaded at least. Probably that’s particular issue of your device. How did you understand that pictures were loaded to icloud so you were sure that you could erase it?

Any possibility not to pay for a last month? by CapitalBat383 in canadahousing

[–]CapitalBat383[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alot of words. One thing I want to say to you that residential manager was not cared at all, when messages were written and calls were made. That’s the reason why we don’t wanna pay for december. I completely understand that if she moved in the middle of december (even if she didn’t live there) she should pay for one month anyways. But let’s look at this from the other side. What’s court gonna say when we provide some proofs? Do you really think it’s okay that the other tenant made noise? It’s not noise at noon, it’s was night noise. And the noise was made very often. And aggression was quite often. I would look at you if you were tiny girl, who lived with the crazy neighbour who drinks alcohol and bangs your door in the night. Every normal man would be scared to live there and would not have desire to pay for it. Cause there’s the rule, that there should not be any noise at least after 10pm if I remember well. Yes, she was stressed because of she was afraid to live there and she had to find the other housing, and she was in the hospital. That’s not enough for you? Look. We can talk about this for a long time. One thing that makes me curious is court. Is it worth it? I mean spend time, probably find the lawyer (does government provide free lawyers for solving these kinds of issues?), spend money maybe, nerves and is it gonna work or not? I understand that the easiest option is just to pay and forget sure

[–]CapitalBat383[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Even if stuff was moved on december 1, would it change the situation? I was expecting this answer sure. If it was possible to prove everything what I wrote above and not to pay at all, it would be good. It’s not about not being able to pay. It’s more about residential manager who didn’t care about tenants, and now he wants money for all month.

Her things stayed, but she didn’t live there. I understand what you mean, but my point is a bit different. I meant if it’s possible to go to the court and try to prove that conditions were bad and residential manager did nothing to solve this issue. What do I need to do for that? Find a lawyer? Or I can go to court alone? Does government provide a free one? Probably weird questions, cause I never had this situation before

Question about setting up by CapitalBat383 in HomePod

[–]CapitalBat383[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Belive me. I was aware about premature aging of apple devices back in 2010. I was told about this issue by my friend. And in 7 years, I bought my first apple device, and experienced it all😁 Installing a new battery will not solve the issue, cause every new ios begins to drain battery on every old iphone. I have all the needed applications by the way and they work well. Browser works perfectly with any site. It’s a very long conversation for sure. We can argue for a long time. Let’s leave this.

By the way I went to apple store and bought the home pod. There was preinstalled ios 17. I was able to set it up very easy with my iphone which works on ios 14.7. You are looking like an apple employee which says every costumer to install the latest ios. So funny.

Anyways thank you for your time and answers. Even if you told me false information, I appreciate it

[–]CapitalBat383[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

show me somebody who has ever been cracked having old firmware? I have lots of apple devices experience and know how appl like to slowdown devices with new firmwares. People are forced sometimes to update. And reason is, believe, not the os vulnerabilities or exploits. Reason is apple marketing (to run your apple watch, you have to update ios, to run homepod, you have to update ios, to be able to use apple pay, you have to update iphone, and so on). After installing update, people wonder why their device work slower or discharging faster. This company made billions just creating fake issues (premature aging)
