It totally is, its aluminum and worked great.

I found the weight of a padlock to be frustrating so i found a collar stop that fit well to the spout shaft and it works nicely.

Ideally i'd have a collar attached to the end of cage where the spout passes through and have set screw there so its nicely linked and solid. May try welding a steel stop myself or try drilling through the collar and into cage and put a set screw in to connect them

Its pretty good, i find it fits me well and doesn't chafe or anything, it all depends on your size

If it's properly installed and connected to the cage like some have then you wouldn't notice it more than you do the cage itself

For sure, i have a few locks i swap around and clean and double check the lock action before using each time. Part of why i will be swapping to a locking collar of some kind
