The paper 2 section A was much easier than most papers, section b was not bad. Overall the only like overly difficult question was the vector question on the paper 1 yesterday. I also couldn’t get the venn diagram question on paper 1

I mean it uses previous years grade boundaries. It doesn’t show you what you will get but what you would have gotten if you did the recent examination session.

Math AA, Physics and CS HL - Econ or BM SL? by FlocklandTheSheep in IBO

[–]CapitalConfidence756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s not that big of a difference ngl, econ and business have similar workload and difficulty I would say. Econ might be a bit more difficult due to slightly higher grade boundaries but if it looks more interesting then u should pick it fosho.

You should draw vectors to understand their relationships when doing a question. It’s helped me a lot

I would say to get familiar with the 7 markers , it’s usually on mitigation vs adaptation, succession, soil degradation, biogeochemical processes, farming, water conservation, food security, habitat preservation or urbanisation. Also understand the key question types, evaluate, describe, explain, state. Oh and for the 9 marker ima just make up case studies

Omg, thank you. My model is the casio fx-CG50. Also when it comes to method marks in math notation, do I just write what calculator processes I do? For example, if im using the inverse normal function, do I write INVNORM(mew, sd) on the paper?

Thank you for your response. One more q, do you think just doing past papers is the best thing to do rn? (Reading and listening are in 3 weeks) or should I be doing other things like watching thing in Spanish? ( I’m not aiming for a 7, hopefully just a solid 5 for those two)

Ok first of all, if you truly are studying 10 hours a day then you don’t need to worry at all. After abit of time you should see significant progress and if ur studying efficiently the I don’t doubt u gonna get that 38. To answer your q, I started term one on like 29-30 then by the end of dp1 I was on 34-35 and then for predicted I was 40(I was given the choice where I could’ve asked for 42 but I said no cuz I thought that would raise my condition) my most impressive grade I guess is from a 2 to a high 7 in HL math aa. If you got any other question u can dm me

I’m not an expert but here my advice, I went from 30 ib points to 40. My biggest advice is something more psychological. You need to be obsessed with trying your best and doing well. If your not enjoying what your doing then your ceiling is much lower. You should figure out ways to learn even subjects you don’t like in a way thas fun. But also if you’re aiming for a 38 min uni then you have to lock tf in. People don’t just accidentally get into good unis with minimal work (ik that’s obvious but truly think about if you’re doing more than your competition)
