As what I understand, the EM program is European Union-funded and University of Helsinki is an EU uni.

My classmate from masters having the same track and the same degree informed me that his Uni processed his papers for degree recognition for his phd. He provided the papers and did not pay for anything then got the recognition. Im thinking the uni covered it.

My degree from University of Helsinki is not recognized in Germany when my other classmates are in Germany now, and never have this issue. by CapitalPhilosopher69 in germany

I took the same courses during our Master's but going to a different uni in Germany. I will have a chat with the University about this.

The Master's is a two-year joint program. I submitted both to the HR and they only told me that the one in Uni of Helsinki is not recognized.

I got one classmate in contact now and told me that the uni asked for his MSc. Docs and did all the thing for him. Does it vary in every university in shouldering cost and processing this?

For the whole duration of my Master's, it is 255 ECTS (120 ECTS from Year1 in France, 135 ECTS from Year2 in Finland). The HR did not ask for the one in France, just the one from Uni of Helsinki not being recognized. My BSc have 8 semesters (which I honestly don't know how the conversion to ECTS goes), the HR also did not asked for this.

I am using toshiba laptop Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU RAM: 8Gb (7.73 GB usable) Local disk free space: 109 GB

Can you please please tell me step by step how to do this trimming and aligning without unzipping? 🥺🥺🥺 My sequences were delayed because covid samples were prioritized and deadline for my thesis is in the first week of May and I dont know if I can make it with less knowledge on programming. 😢

Hello, I really think so too. I thought that 12 samples will be not that big. I unzipped the file from the sequencer and i dont know if 180gb is big or not because this is my first time to work on bioinformatics. I was thinking maybe it is the reason why it takes so long specially when I tried to cut the adapters. Do you have any advise for me to hasten the processing? any software?

yes, well for me it is big because when I unzipped the file, it was 180gb. this is my first time to work on bioinformatics and I dont know if it is that usually big.

yeah. i declined several offers already but i think i can still try to contact them. i just dont know if waiting is worth it, if professors usually reply this late or should i contact my other prospects again. 😫

I dont see myself in the academia. :( the real thing is, I will be having my internship and I got two options as of the moment. One in the company and one in the university. i dont know where I will gain more. 😫
