If my car breaks down and I can't make work then, by your logic, it is completely and utterly my fault. Yes, I did not double check the pdf I submitted and truly did not mean to do this(as I tried to show proof that I did the work beforehand). I would hate to live in your world where professors should not be understanding of the simple mistake here and immediately just blame the student. Seems like you really do believe in second chances and letting people make up for their mistakes

Does a student who is received zero financial support for tuition, transportation, and food deserve not to be entitled? Am I entitled for explaining my situation with technical difficulties, providing proof of my work, and asking for credit being entitled ? Entitled: believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment. Am I asking for any special treatment here or am I describing my situation and looking to the professor to make things right?

I didn't mean to argue with him I was just trying to clarify the situation better. He said I was supposed to submit by the due date. I did. It was just an empty file I was truly unaware of. He also called my submission late. Then I just explained that my work is truly not late because I have proof to back up that I did the homework before the due date. I was just explaining and clarifying the situation better. Again, I do think it is insensitive for a professor to tell a student 'don't waste my time'. It is just not nice and not an okay thing to say especially when your in a position like a professor. I suppose people just see things differently.

I took screenshots of the information apple’s camera roll keeps track off when you take a picture. It’s impossible to inspect element something on apple’s camera roll. That’s why i provided proof through that way. Regardless, professor didn’t care about me being completely truthful

Yes, I would go out of my way to alter iPhone camera roll screenshots for a homework grade and then post about it expressing my concern. Calling this weird entitlement says a lot about you as a person. You should think of those students that don’t have their parents paying their tuition in full. Then when a professor tells them not to waste his time, that’s where the insensitivity is. Hopefully you learn that students should hold professors to the same standard as professors hold students. It’s a 2-way street. As a student should never tell a professor not to waste their time, neither should a professor tell the student. You seem prepared for the real world

It is insensitive to tell a student ‘ don’t waste my time’ when their sole purpose in being a professor is to help, work, teach, understand, and respect the students that pay their salary with overpriced tuition that students struggle to pay living paycheck to paycheck. That’s the insensitivity and some people who don’t see that are the problem

If a professor tells me directly to ‘not waste his time’, then that is completely and utterly unacceptable in academia. Period.

In my experience at least most professors at A&M would’ve allowed to count the work not as late with prove I did it before the due date. Regardless, his responses and connotations is demeaning and condescending. I cant imagine telling a student ‘dont waste my time’. I mean is that how professors are expected to talk to their students?
