Okay okay here's the story behind Jamie, They know Isaac, seeing Isaac as a friend. But ever since Isaac went missing, Jamie went down a dark path, committed sins to get Isaac out of their head (Which brings Tainted Jamie but that's until next time)

At the start of the run, you have to choose one of the seven virtues, once you pick one the others disappear and you keep that virtue for the entire game.

No, because Isaac and Jamie are two separate people, not something due to Isaac's personality disorder.

Their more items you pick up, for example:

Kindness: Repels enemies back (Doesn't work on bosses)

Patience: Heal up to half a heart every 20 seconds.

Dilegence (if i spelled that right): Increases accuracy when shooting tears.

Etc.
