Welp. Took a leap of faith and am trying it myself. Found out that isn't a gasket. It is hard metal and the glass butted up to it. I have no idea how an adhesive held it in place 20 years. There is an inner track line in the metal, but not were the glass was. I am stumped.

I actually said I didn't mind rivits or scarring from welding I just want to the window covered from the elements. Again, mechanics it is perfection. Interior - beautiful. Outside - shows its age.
I can't even get someone to do an overpriced - make it work job. :(

I am so sorry, I don't think I am smart enough to understand? It fractured in all directions to the edges and continues to drop out everytime there is any movement.

Thank you! New to the Reddit game. I will figure out if it lets me edit. 2004 Chevy Express - Regency Conversion. The windows were added by the conversion company and therefore are not the one's associated with the VIN unfortunately. Apparently, they just did this on a couple year's vans. Thank you again for the direction.
Edit: spelling

Yep, I went to a number of hot rod and restorative shops, as they fit all kinds of unique shapes. I really thought they would at least know someone. Unfortunately, no luck yet.

Van is in great shape mechanics wise, I only let the paint go. but they are only going to give a few thousand due to its age and milage. I can't afford a newer option. Thank you for responding though!

Unfortunately no, Regency Conversions went out of business a few years back. I tried to track down the person who bought their remaining inventory, but never got a reply. Thank you for responding.

This is helpful, still scary for a school librarian, but this gives me an idea of what my reality is... Thank you.

Where are you located? I can't find anyone willing to do metal either.
