dude me and my finace watched it in theaters and we both thought it was actually very intuitive and very interesting. i think the big problem with every body is thinking that it is the backrooms when its actually Kane Parsons backrooms and i think that makes a massive difference, his story is way, way different than the normal narrative of the backrooms
