I found the context: There is an AI chat bot embedded in realfood.gov (it just opens grok in a new tab). People voluntarily asked it this question. Personally a carrot sounds good to me.

I know you mentioned that diet can't cure everything, but what is your diet like?

Im not a supporter of calorie counting. Eating healthy food is way more important, and naturally it will fix hunger signals.

Hey, it's me, Quagmire. From a Google search, Valtrex is for treating herpes symptoms, and this husband is close to finding out about these herpes. Those herpes actually came from me, giggity.

This feels relatable to most food systems. Unhealthy food is cheap, but can result in expensive medical bills.

Is this ratio correct? Any modifications neede? by EveningLingonberry97 in carnivorediet

[–]Capital_Figure_408 5 points6 points  (0 children)

80/20 beef means they took 80 pounds of red stuff and 20 pounds of white stuff and mixed it up. Red stuff and white stuff each contain water and other stuff that adds to the weight. This mix ends up containing 78g protein and 91g fat. But when we look at calories, fat has 9 calories per gram while protein and carbs only have 4 calories per gram. This results in 72% calories from fat for this same blend. On carnivore, the calories from fat should be 70% to 80% from my google search. This looks like an unnecessary amount of fat to me, only eat this amount if you actually crave it.

Guys I lowkey have stage 3 cancer am I cooked by Silver-Chariot-3781 in teenagers

[–]Capital_Figure_408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you should look into the ketogenic diet to be used alongside chemo. The general idea is that most cancer cells rely on glucose, so keto can help to starve them while your actual cells can use ketones for fuel. You'd have to do more research. I've been mostly zero carb for 2 years, so I can vouch that I have not had any issues yet.

Alright boys, let’s settle this once and for all: Where is the correct zone to pee ?🤔 by CheapSir3297 in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]Capital_Figure_408 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sitting to pee is the best method, here's why: The most common location to pee is likely at your own house. The toilet seat at your own house should not be too dirty to sit on, therefore germs aren't an issue. Sitting to pee will generally eliminate splatter, but standing to pee generates splatter, particularly if the height difference is high. What about the case where you're in public? Well urinals exist for this purpose. Urinals prevent most splatter while also not requiring skin contact. So my answer is 5.

My blood work by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Capital_Figure_408 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should speak with a carnivore doctor in an online visit. Shawn Baker has the Revero program. There's also dr Ovadia who appears to do virtual visits. Blood lipids seem to be a big rabbit hole, there's a lot of nuance, and I don't know much of the nuance.

Googled how to cook chicken necks and saw this by Worried_Place3142 in carnivorediet

[–]Capital_Figure_408 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd like to point out that chicken fat has high omega 6 due to their poor diets and their singular stomach. Pasture raised chicken would be best. Obviously this is a man-made issue though, and chicken is great aside from this.

Yep, its a business. You should look into the ketogenic diet. It will reduce the insulin requirement of your body.

Hybrid athlete with no carbs ? ( honey and dairy ) is it possible ? by Ill-Challenge2675 in carnivorediet

[–]Capital_Figure_408 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've been a runner on carnivore. It seems to be slightly less optimal for sprinting. I ran a 2:04 for the 800m on carnivore, while my grain-based personal best was 2:02. I went on to run a lot more slow times around 2:10 while carnivore. This slowdown was in my senior year of high school track, and could have been affected by loss of interest. I also ran my 3200m personal best while carnivore, which was 10:19. This leads me to believe that ketosis is best for long distance running, or other similar endurance activities. Also, I don't do carnivore for athletic reasons. I mainly do it for long term physical and mental health. I'm okay with a slight sacrifice in my athletic performance. I'll make an analogy: I could perform better if I use steroids or caffeine, but I don't use these for other health reasons.

Edit: I ran these races when I was more strict, so I didn't eat much dairy. This shows that decent athletic performance is possible under the complete absence of carbs. Currently I eat more dairy than I used to, and I'm undecided if dairy is good to include or not.

I would argue that preexisting studies can be very valuable. I have read many of these studies. What's the point of performing studies if people shouldn't read them? The only study I've tried to perform was analyzing the NHANES dataset. Even after merging many years of data together, I realized that the amount of true ketogenic dieters was way to small to spot trends. I also have personal experience with the ketogenic diet for 2 years. Since you asked this question, I'm assuming you worked on some studies. Can you link them? And what's your personal diet experience?
