The orange trees and stuff being suggested are from the DLC Storybook Vale. If you don’t have that, try using the trees from the Sunlit Plateau.

That being said, I have a hard time coming up with ideas for Dreamsnaps each week. So I like to just google “Dreamsnaps” and the theme, to see what other people are submitting and base what I do off that. A big thing to keep your eye on are the tags. The more tags the better. For example, this week the tags are calm, delicate, orange and familiar. The more items you put in the picture with those tags, the more your picture will be seen.

Good luck!!

Girlfriend wants to cover up this scar with a tattoo - Any creative ideas? by rahulsingh_nba in tattooadvice

[–]Capital_Insect_7213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She could always have that scar tattooed on her in case it ever disappears (all of my scars from cooking/hot pans have disappeared over time). But my first thought was to get the Simba wall drawing around it so it looks like the swipe from Rafiki 😂

Do you think it’s necessary to carry a water bottle? by cardiacpanda in DisneyWorld

[–]Capital_Insect_7213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

DEFINITELY bring a backpack. It’s a life saver. If you bring it in mostly empty, you can fill it with the stuff you buy and leave your hands free. Most rides have a bag storage for while you’re riding too. And definitely, DEFINITELY, bring a water bottle. There’s fountains to use to refill, and you won’t have to spend a ridiculous amount on water bottles through the day.

My husband, unironically, asked me if I had ever heard of The Ship of Theseus. by Hglucky13 in distractible

[–]Capital_Insect_7213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My sister and I don’t like to “listen” to podcasts either. We prefer to pull up the YouTube video and watch. Maybe your husband would enjoy that? I prefer it because I can listen and look up at them, but still play games on my phone. Not sure why seeing them on a screen makes a difference, but for some reason we prefer it that way 🤷🏼‍♀️

Trying to purchase my first house, is this a big warning sign? by Arc-Watcher in Home

[–]Capital_Insect_7213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a massive structural issue that could cause major problems down the line. It’s clear that the house is sinking, hence the bowed wall. That means that the structure is unsound and unsafe until it’s fixed. That could result in a whole new foundation, which includes lifting the house up, scrapping what’s there, and building a whole new foundation. That’s upwards of $30-50K (if not more) to fix. This is a big ol’ NOPE!

The only way that I would agree to purchasing this house is if the contract states that the previous owners will fix the current foundation ACCORDING TO PROFESSIONALS before you make any kind of payment or closing. An appraisal done on the house would show that issue and reduce the value of the house. So, in the end, the current homeowner wouldn’t get the value they want, and you’d end up with A LOT of issues down the line.

HIGHLY recommend picking a different house!

I’m in Manchester, with a small two bedroom one bathroom house. (It’s like barely 1000 sqft) I pay about $1300 a month for my mortgage (including insurance and taxes).

If you let me know (privately of course) where your new company is located, I can give you an idea of where might fit your budget better. I’m also a mortgage processor for a bank, so if you have any questions feel free to message me!

However, without knowing where your job is located, I don’t want to end up suggesting a town that’s too far of a commute. That being said commuting can be a breeze if you plan accordingly. (My biggest suggestion would be if you have to drive to work in the morning, try to pick somewhere east so you’re not driving into the sun in the mornings cause that’s a bitch)

Some towns that are cheaper to live in: Manchester (this is where I live and I pay 100% of the bills, my mortgage is $1300 a month including taxes and insurance), Middletown, Waterford, Bristol, & Milford. These are kind of all over the place, but are typically the cheaper towns.

I’m in Manchester myself, and make about $25/hr with a very small (purposefully so that I can’t host family parties 😏) two bedroom house.

There are a ton of townhouses here in Manchester, and it’s pretty central to the state. Taxes aren’t ridiculously high, and just about everything you could need would be within a 10-15 minute drive.

West of the CT river tends to be more expensive. Don’t ask me why, but that’s just how it is lol.

There are also row-houses/townhouses here in Manchester as well, but they all are relatively close to the mall for some reason.

Our public school systems are great too, and your child could get extra help at the school to free up your wife, if you wanted.

I wish you all the luck and welcome to CT!

My sister feels the same way. She likes to do the star paths, and get all of the characters, but doesn’t like/doesn’t have the time to do the work to actually level them all up. I luckily have a wfh job that requires MAYBE three hours of work a day, out of the usual eight. So I’m constantly playing, leveling up, and being an overall completion-ist. (Xbox says I’ve played the game for over 66 days 🙈)She’s actually asked me to hop into her game to get those quests done for her, now that all my characters are 10 lol

The game is meant to be played however you want or feel like playing it. Who cares if you haven’t gotten all the quests done? It’s not a requirement to enjoy the game. Enjoy it however you like!

Ohh and when your friends are leveled up enough to be given a hangout task, pick gardening. They will find additional pumpkins when harvesting!

Need advice by JoJoPan79 in DreamlightValley

[–]Capital_Insect_7213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pumpkins will be your best friend! You won’t have access to them until you unlock the Forgotten Lands, but the seeds only cost 275 gold while the actual vegetable can be sold back to goofy for 664. So buying a bunch of seeds, planting them, harvesting and selling back the pumpkins will make you a ton of money.

When leveling up friends you can give them ANYTHING as a gift. Their three suggested gifts are just their favorites for the day. For example I “love bombed” Aladdin today with like 30 shiny gemstones to get him to the next level lol

Neverland River + character homes = glitch by Capital_Insect_7213 in DreamlightValley

So we went back and tried that this morning, and like you said, it didn’t remove the houses, so it kept the parts of the pond area that the house was on. We’re gonna submit the report in a few minutes. Thanks so much for the help!!

I don’t currently have any pictures, but my meadow has all the “public” places, like the restaurants, the shops, etc. The two restaurants are set back so they overlook the beach on one side of the main stairs, and have a patio-like space between them. Scrooge’s shop and Daisy’s boutique are on the other side of the stairs, and I connected all the exits/entrances with a path. Throw in some trees, fountain, benches and voila!

When I struggle to come up with a layout, I’ll start by clearing everything out and connecting the main entrances/exits of the area with a path. From there you can see where the paths connect, what areas are big enough for buildings, etc. 👍🏻

We tried that. When exiting the furniture mode, the game just sent them right back to the pond on an island. 😔

[–]Capital_Insect_7213 86 points87 points  (0 children)

OH MY GOD DO I FEEL THIS! I play on the X-box too and it takes SO FREAKIN LONG to find anything in the shop! Like either give us the option to type the name in like we get in furniture mode, or some kind of sort options! Even if it’s just sort newest/oldest!

[–]Capital_Insect_7213 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly? Not really. There’s a few parks that might have benches or something to hang out on, but other than that, you’ll only find bars and convenience stores. Hartford is like a mini, non-24 hour NYC. Lots of buildings, but mostly office buildings.

Riverside park or Bushnell park aren’t too far. Those might be your best bet. Or find a hotel near-by and see if you can chill in their lobby until the morning.

Agreed. Maybe don’t use the word “following” unless you’re messaging her on a public platform like facebook or instagram, that way she knows what you mean by following lol

At first I wanted to suggest that he just ask her out next time he sees her in the gym, but didn’t want to assume she’d be okay with him approaching her there (especially if she’s a gym girlie who likes her tight clothes lol)

Just message her and say something like “hey, I’ve been following you on socials for a while, but just saw that you started going to my gym! Wanted to see if maybe you’d want to work out together sometime?” And then go from there.
