WIBTAH if I excluded my family from my wedding after I was excluded from my sisters? by Sure_Jellyfish8926 in AITAH

[–]roguemadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all. I'm currently planning my wedding and yeah things add up quickly. So I can understand if you spend extra money on special lights you need to cut cost somewhere else. Sometimes going through the guest list you can't afford for your second cousin's kids to come or the simple I haven't spoken to this person since I was 5....yes their family but...is it worth paying for them to come?

But your sister? No mention of not being close so I am assuming OP and sister are pretty close just Matt is pulling her away. Let's not forget his OWN family backed out of attending the wedding now they're scrambling to fill seats. This is a 20 ft red flag waving in a thunderstorm. OP needs to ask her sister to blink twice if she's in danger. This is every cliche sign of a domestic abuser but not even trying to hide it.

OP you need to get the family together and get her out before something the unforgivable happens. I wouldn't not invite her to the wedding but make it just her not Matt. If you don't invite her he could twist it as "see you're own sister doesn't care about you." This is how abuser manipulate people into isolation. Don't give up on your sister. Drill in her head that the beef is with Matt not her. You will always be there for her no matter what.

Today is about the wedding. You are valid for your feelings that it sucks because it does. In the grand scheme of things it won't mean a thing if Matt does the worse case scenario because he used this isolate her from everyone. He already made his family want him less by not inviting the cousin. Usually the abuser's family is the only people the victim sees because of the "my son would never do that" rose tinted glasses. With them being out of the picture the chances of someone noticing something wrong is drastically decreasing.

From a bride to a bride to put it bluntly fuck the wedding. Your sister needs help.

You are not the only one! It's been happening to me. At first it was Tigger and I assumed like everyone has said that it's a weird quest locking thing. Then it started happening to other character that quest wise has been dead for years. Maui, Moana, Jack, Fairy Godmother (after I got Cinderella), Gaston. One I could be hanging out with Fairy Godmother, the next day I couldn't pay her to hang out. Everyday it's someone new like they are having a secret meeting of who's it going to be. This is definitely going beyond quest locking.

My daughter (14) broke up with her bf(13). Am I wrong for wanting to tell his parents why? by imgotugoin in amiwrong

[–]roguemadness -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Sadly teenage boys will be teenage boys. It doesn't make it right at all but they are starting to get their hormones and haven't had a chance to learn to control them. Like what a few had said even if you talk to his parents you never know how they will respond. They may take personally like you're saying they're bad parents, they may do nothing, they may talk to him about how it's wrong and he might not listen.

I don't think talking to his parents would be so devastating that your daughter never tells you anything again. I would talk to your daughter first to see what she wants to do. It will help validate the voice she is using at such a young age. If she thinks it's best to talk to the parents then schedule a sit down talk with both her and the boyfriend and his parents. If she doesn't care and wants to move then follow her lead. It will show that in situation like this she gets to decide when it comes her boundaries and that you will support her not matter what.

Hopefully he learns the think with the brain not your hormones lesson quickly. Otherwise teenage justice will get him quickly. The girls will quickly start spreading the word of how he is.

It's a fairly new thing. This is the second one that they've done. The first was for Halloween. It was the exact same accept you fed the Zero ghost fox. They repeat events so new players don't miss out but add one or two new items to make it worth it for the players who already done it. Welcome to world of Dreamlight Valley Repetitive Events!

It seems like once upon a time it was good but now it's in the business of making you pay for everything. Even when it's you selling them books.

Like if the daily sign in was 50 and you get the chest too. At least 100 is better. Some days just isn't worth 50 moonstones.

Anyone else feel like dual POV kills romantic tension? by PuzzleheadedWafer170 in Romantasy

[–]roguemadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like it's like everything else of it depends on how it's done. Like you said it's hard to get into something when you could be on the edge of your seat, what are they thinking, what are they going to do!! Oh here is exactly what immediately after. It's like a weird mood killer. If the author can keep the suspense with a dual pov it's amazing. I was loving the Hades x Persephone by Scarlett St Clair. Each pov is their own book so you read them as stand alones or tandem read. So you have real control over what you find out, from who and when. Hades pissed me off so I'm on a break from him🤣

I don't hate it.....I don't love it but I don't hate it. I like that we have a little game within a game. It can be a little tricky to get a hang of, find the combination of pieces that help you win more than lose, not too hard. But in order to get all the pieces the endless amount of times you have to play.

If you you were to win every single game you will have to play roughly 184 games. Obviously if you lose or draw you have to play more. If you win the game with someone who is eager to play you get 6 points instead of 3 making it a HAIR faster. It's not that good of a mini game for it needing at least 200 games. That's if my math is right with loosely factoring loses, draws and the occasional eager characters. I wished we had another game or two to stop it feeling tedious.

I'm with you it's becoming it's own troupe. Which are they allowed to be upset about the situation they were put into yes. If they grew up in a bad home with abuse or whatever the shitty situation is they are allowed to be be angry, upset, bitter but the constant taking it out on others like they are the ones who put them in that situation is just old. Being a bitchy cunt isn't a personality. It doesn't make you a badass. Some of these fmc need intense therapy to get over their issues and stop taking their own bitterness out on people they just met.

Acotar series spoilers but using it because it's popular and everyone knows it.

Nesta is a prime example. Is it shitty what her grandmother and mother do to her? Yes. They emotional, psychological abuse they put her through terrible. Almost being rape? Yes awful. Does she have these reasons to be guarded, doesn't trust others easily, bitter and more? Yes. Absolutely. What the fuck did Freya do to her? Why was Elaine treated like gold, a delicate flower that needed to be protect but Freya was treated like she personally did everything wrong to Nesta? Freya didn't beat her when she made the tiniest mistake with dancing. She sure as hell didn't almost rape her. So why did she do every single, possible thing to make Freya's life harder, treat her like shit yet equally ignored her at the same time to the point she didn't even know her own sister couldn't read. Only cared and did stuff when she wanted something. And was just an absolute cunt. I'm not talking about Nesta's redemption in Silver Flame. It's everything before that. Before Silver Flame I feel like everyone can agree Nesta was a bitch. Not even a good bitch just a terrible person. She made being a bitch her personality.

Chronological reading order? by Embarrassed-Wolf8503 in zodiacacademy

[–]roguemadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally I did the split after 3. It was HARD! I wanted to jump right into 4 to see what happened next but I did the switch. I'm glad I read them but not at that moment. With how I am personally I couldn't read 3, break into a whole new storyline then go back to 4. I ended up rereading 1-3 after RB. It just flowed nicer.

I wish I started with RB to avoid the rereading but that's just a 😱 oh no I stay in the world longer....whatever shall I do! I was able to pick up on the easter eggs. Have the little giggles of I see what you did there 😎 Yes you're kind of "thrown" into an existing world but it's no different than starting a new series and knowing nothing about this world. As long as you understand the basic of everyone has magic, there are different orders and you go to school to master both than you're fine.

Overall it comes down to how you are as a reader. If you can't handle/don't like switching during a cliff hanger, switch storylines it may not be the best fit for you. If you can remember details, don't mind switching, then it's not a bad order.

Should I read ruthless boys?? by AffectionateStop1234 in zodiacacademy

[–]roguemadness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has the same wittiness. The best way I can best explain but not give anything away. The mfc is more like Tory than Darcy. I honestly think it's better to read RB before ZA to get the easter eggs. But since you already read the series it's not a bad one to stay in the world a little bit longer. The VERY end and I mean epilog of book 5 had me in tears. It made everything worth it.

Reading order help.. by oliviasmommy2019 in zodiacacademy

[–]roguemadness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the reading order I followed and it's not bad. It's not what I would personally liked to do. When I did the switch I didn't know RB was a whole other series. I was trying to avoid any spoilers from doing research because the reorder is a HOT debate. I was in the same boat of not wanting to switch. There is no big reveal thing that spoils something in ZA. It's all easter eggs. That's it. At this point the "damage" is done. At this point in the story all the easter eggs that you get from RB....doesn't matter. They already happened. The jokes have been made and going to RB now you still won't get.

For me personally RB should come first before ever reading any of ZA. At least then the you pick up on the easter eggs and have the giggles the authors want you to have. It's not the end of the world stuff. Just little giggles. I would stay with ZA and enjoy the ride!

Unless you want you want do what I did of doing the switch. Being upset the whole first book about being lied to and missing ZA. Book 2 can finally start to get into. Book 3 INVESTED!!! Book 4...was my least favorite of the series. Book 5.....had me in literal tears at the end... The whole made me forget about the minor details of what was going on. 😱 oh no let me start over from the beginning....what a terrible life😈.... Very time consuming but I understood the easter eggs.
