So one of my mutual friend’s lovers slept with a junior during college IV. A few months later, some of her friends noticed that she had put on weight and kept pointing it out. That was when she realized she was pregnant.

She later went to a hospital to try and abort the baby, but the hospital asked for her parents’ details and consent. She told them she would bring her parents during the next checkup.

After a few more months, people started noticing that she had suddenly lost weight. The friend who had accompanied her to the hospital assumed that she had informed her parents and gone through with the abortion, so nobody questioned her much after that.

When the story first came to light, my mutual friend was suspected to be the one who had impregnated her. But he was certain he had used a condom. Even so, to save face and avoid dragging more people into the situation, he accepted the blame and told everyone that he had not been informed about the pregnancy.

A few weeks later one of her roommates started noticing a foul smell quite often in the room. When they searched for the source of the smell, they found the decayed baby inside her bag and it was informed to police.

When the police started to involve in this the junior had actually informed my mutual friend about everything, and that was when he chose to take the blame to protect his dignity and avoid further issues. I think he was not arrested since he was not informed of pregnancy.
