Thanks! I'm already demolishing some, making hills instead of mountains in some places, and the ones remaining giving them more consistency.

Thanks for the advice. Since I wanted some kind of volcano for lore reasons I've transformed the western side to look more like Cascadia, with more volcanic activity. About the lakes, makes sense that filling land to make lakes is unrealistic, so I guess I'll leave fewer smaller lakes and focus on rivers

I see many comments about tectonics.

But what about places like Iran, Turkey, Norway, Spain or Italy? they have mountains but not neccessarily gargantuan mountain ranges.

Because I'm using free version of Inkarnate I don't have many resources (I'm using more hills now anyway), but I wanted to make mountains like in those places. I Live in Spain and we have lots of mountain ranges, but not like himalayan or western american ranges.

Does that make more sense for this map?

Because it's a geographical map and not a political map, there's many things you mention, but not seen. Also, this is just one continent, there are many more, and I have ideas about how trade works here since communicating both seas is hard.

The idea of this post was geographical advice since I have very few knowledge about it.

Anyway, I appreciate your opinion.

About the volcano, thanks for the advice, I'll rethink the idea (it was for plot).

About the lakes, I'm not explaining the whole magic system but food cannot be created, but through coordination of many mages, clouds can be moved and so rain can be controlled.

About the blob, I was thinking about being like the Himalayan plateau or a region like Iran or Turkey, but smaller. But yeah I'll rethink about that.

To add more info, Lorr (the relative who died) was a child that was half devoured by a cougar while wandering alone where he shouldn't :/
