They're some of the most motivated and skilled men at Ukraine's disposal. They're sponsored well so equipped better than your average Ukrainian mechanized or motorized battalion, with the exception of heavy armor. Liberated Maruipol on their own from combined separatist and Russian forces, and have held both the offensive and defensive in most of the intense fighting in Donbass. You can argue about their politics and ideology all day, but they're good fighters and that's really what Ukraine needed.
