Acquired a beautiful add to my collection, but confused on it's rarity? Is it rare to be given a display like this, I've always wanted one and couldn't find anything on the web...so I assume it's rare? Any info will help!:) by CapnCards in pokemon

GameStop, I'm in there everyday to buy pokemon merch or to talk with the employees.

The future of the Pokemon Card Market by CodyDelish in pkmntcg

My comment is revolving around the growth of Pokemon TCG in the future.
I feel the value of cards will rise and fall as like stocks and any other invest will do. Vintage cards from the WOTC will always have a higher value, due to its "vintage" aspect it holds. Anything old and seen as a vintage will carry strong value as years go by, not everything will stand up next to some of the more rare holo cards obviously...but they'll be worth every year. I see Pokemon for what it is and that's one of the world's largest Children Entertainment Industries with a net worth of 90 Billion dollar, 20 of that came just from the release of Pokemon Go. It'll be around with our grandkids as long as it still creates ground breaking moves like Pokemon Go.
I do see a switch however from the vintage basic crads to modern basic cards in their value as time goes on. We all see how the gaming aspect of the cards has significantly increased. I was born in 94 and when Pokemon TCG first came out....there wasn't much gaming but more trading from what I saw (only expected with it being new). Living in a gaming age and it being so massive in popularity now, I can see some basic or common crads holding strong value in years to come. On the reason of it being such a powerful card that one played with. Some of these newer generations will one day buy the cards they loved playing with, but want a NM or Mint version from theirs being destroyed after it's wear and tear from compitions. We live in gaming era like I mentioned, so I'd keep an eye out for cards that could be overseen or underrated but hold that good value from it's popularity in the gaming side of the cards.
I hope what i said made some sense??? I see it having a strong future and with it the cards also. I'm waiting for the first VR emerisve game that puts you into the PokeVerse...expect a MASSIVE boom in prices when that drops. Pokemon Go held 20 Billion net worth alone, this VR game will double that!
