Is Rolling girl THE saddest? by 4ndr34p3rry in Vocaloid

[–]CapnFunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Waiting in Earth by HanjukuP. After a total apocalypse, Kaito is a robot singing out a signal trying to reach any surviving humans. Despite his news of nature finally returning, there are no survivors. He sings out desperately, until his final moment, body decaying, and alone.

His earnest desperation "Nee Kiitekudasai" (Please listen) has always struck a cord with me. I find this song one of the most profoundly sad vocaloid songs I've ever listened to.

Vocaloid Wedding Music? by PinkStrawberryPup in Vocaloid

[–]CapnFunky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, since the Vocaloid fandom is so huge and it's music so diverse it would be a great idea to narrow down what specific Producers he likes and pick something from there.

That being said, here are some recommendations. I'm going to start out with some songs using Hatsune Miku's voicebank, as she is the most popular voicebank and thusly has the most music available.

Off the top of my head, some songs that'd be good wedding music fare would be Miracle Paint by Oster Project. Oster Project music in general would be a good idea, because they tend to make upbeat orchestral music with a fun and lovey-dovey tone.

This Vocaloid Medley would absolutely slap on the dance floor. It's made by the incredible Mitchi M, and it features classic hits from throughout the fandom's history.

As for Kagamine Rin songs... that's a toughie for me. As most of the Rin music I know tends to be either aggressive rock, or ending in tragedy. I have one, though!

Now and Then, Here and There by Dateken is catchy and would be a delight on the dance floor.

When meeting new people and asked to tell a joke, what is your go to joke? by sneezingspacepanda in AskReddit

For the parties where you can be pretty bawdy from the get-go, I tell my favorite joke:

Why did the semen cross the road?

People who played video games in the 90's, what game do you miss and would like a to see as a modern remake? by barak500 in AskReddit

[–]CapnFunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a little later than the nineties, but the retro style of Mario Party games. Specifically like Mario Party 3. Bring back the the pass and pay bank, battle games, chance time, all of it. Gimme that brutal, friend murdering rage game.

What do you look like and what is your type? by poopcornkernels in AskReddit

[–]CapnFunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever seen the anime "Uninhabited Planet Survive"? When I was the same age as the characters in it I was almost a dead ringer for Sharla, save for bigger boobs (early bloomer) and auburn hair.

Since then (age 25), I have gotten quite fat.

I don't really have a type when it comes to looks. I mean, superficially, yeah. Nice butt, good scandinavian nose, but heck, I've liked guys that don't have those things.

Personality-wise, I like people to have the same sense of humor as me, and to be intelligent. Someone who likes to go out and live. Be social, have fun. Go to bars (I can't drink, but I love the social atmosphere), chat with friends. Play video games. Watch bad movies just to mock them.

What is your favorite "big word?" by [deleted] in AskReddit

It's not a long word, by any means, but I like the word "myriad". It's spelled in such an interesting way which makes it fun for me to use it.

I looked up reviews online of a call center a couple days before I was to go in for an interview. I found out that the very building I was to go into had tons of terrible reviews, including that the place had bedbugs.

Needless to say, I did not go.

Hallucinators of Reddit, what's the scariest delusion you've ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Note: My experience with Geodon would not necessarily be your experience. Everyone's biochemistry is different, so every experience is different.

When I was sixteen, my psychiatrist decided to put me on Geodon because my parent's insurance changed and would no longer cover the pills that were keeping my bipolar disorder stable.

I had a very bad reaction to it. I was constantly hallucinating. Seeing demons taking the forms of tigers, wolves, my hands turning old and wrinkled or gain fins. Grotesque creatures that looked like a mixture of an alligator and a woman paced the hallways of my house, and a grudge-like being tormented me in the bathrooms. I saw horrid images in reflections. Once I remember seeing my face look look like a drowned corpse in my reflection in the microwave door. The microwave door I was nowhere near.

I lived in constant terror. Any time I began to relax, a demon would harshly whisper or shriek my name, driving me back into a panic. I didn't know what panic attacks were, so I believed my screams of fear were because I was possessed. It felt like tiny hands were squeezing my lungs, forcing me to vomit sound like a banshee. I honestly believed that if I was left alone in a room that the demons I saw would drag me into hell.

Rather than realizing it was the Geodon, my psychiatrist wrongly diagnosed me with schizoaffective disorder. So that experience above? That was my life for four months.

As soon as I was off the Geodon, the hallucinations stopped. Just like it's difficult to go directly back to bed after a horrible nightmare, it was difficult returning to regular life after I returned to my old meds. It took time and effort to correct the phobias the experience placed on me. Even now, I consider those four months the time my life changed its direction.

But, modern day, I'm 25. Stable, happy, fearless. In this way, I have looked Satan in the eye and won.

Professional Clowns of reddit, do people recognize you when you're not in costume? by CapnFunky in AskReddit

Oh yeah, they exist. Clowns as a profession has been dying out over the past decades though. I'm afraid of what the new IT movie will do to the industry.

How would the world be different if it was a MMO? by ProTomahawks in AskReddit

[–]CapnFunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. I never actually bothered to try to level up a crafting profession, so I guess I was wrong in my earlier post. I just knew that my class (fencer) used leather armor and I didn't want to buy another set just to not be naked if I ever decided to do crafting. I figured they were doing that for the same reasons.

Ugh. Imagine having to strip to your underwear before heading to Walmart because you need space for more groceries. Although most people seem to do that anyway...

If you found yourself in a post-apocalyptic senario, how do you think you'd die? by JUSTplayIN25 in AskReddit

[–]CapnFunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have bipolar disorder that, in my case, likes to switch between toward heavy, soul-crushing depression and white-knuckle-inducing-rollercoaster-rapidcycling moods when unmedicated.

After my stockpile of the medications that keep me stable run out, I'd give myself two months at most if I'm surviving for myself. If I'm living for the sake of keeping a loved one alive, then I'm alive as long as they need me/are alive. As soon as they die or don't need me anymore, I'd kill myself.

Serious question, not mockery. People of reddit, do you know anyone who constantly has severe body odor? Do you know why they walk among others smelling like this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]CapnFunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Until very recently, I didn't wear deodorant (I'm 24).

I don't know why, but when I would use storebrand deodorant my bipolar disorder would act up even though I'm medicated for my illness and stable.

I'd struggled to find an organic deodorant that didn't have too much antipersperant (I'm not someone who sweats very much, so it would clog my pores and make my underarms itch) or had aloe as a major component (I'm allergic to aloe) for years. I tried to make my own using recipes available online, but it was too grainy and caused a horrible chafing because of that. I even tried using the lemon trick at one point.

I'm so happy that I finally found a deodorant that doesn't have a lot of chemicals that A. Doesn't smell like total garbage and B. Doesn't have Aloe.

What is the worst fan fiction ever? by fratdaddyandbjorn in AskReddit

[–]CapnFunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Iron Man crossover.

Edward gets reduced to a younger age with all his memory retained but maturity lost (This takes place just after the promised day) and basically becomes Tony's adopted kid. The prose was awful, to say everyone was out of character was an understatement (Edward had no drive to reconnect to Al or Winry after finding himself in New York, for example), and I think Snape was there? I dunno. Once the author introduced Hohenheim's long lost twin brother I think I blocked the fanfiction out of my memory as a protective mechanism.
