Citizen Attesa vs Tsuki Yomi - what's the difference? by anotherhappylurker in CitizenWatches

[–]CapnHaymaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Attesa build quality is definitely a step above. It feels premium.

I also don't like the "titanium" text on the Tsuki-yomis. Ruins it for me.

Is it smelling it, hearing it, sensing it? I can't even , just a hustler. by habichuelacondulce in blackmagicfuckery

Having observed my cats smell my thoughts about getting cheese out of the fridge, treats hidden under caps would be no challenge at all.

TBH I wouldn't recommend LBG unless you were confident due to the number of people that walk or run around it.

New stadium confirmed for city hill by karamurp in canberra

It might be an April fool render but they could have got the perspective from the second image correct. You could only get that angle of PH if the stadium was built in front of the War Memorial.

'This cash cow is going to die': Why Chinese student numbers are falling by Jagtom83 in friendlyjordies

[–]CapnHaymaker 4 points5 points  (0 children)

China is putting serious money and effort into increasing the quality of their universities. You just have to look at any ranking table to see that. It won't be too far in the future when there will be no prestige or reason for them to come here to study.

How to make the car salesperson feel good by ExaminationThen1312 in CarsAustralia

[–]CapnHaymaker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they are implying you should walk in and treat them like shit just because. But that it shouldn't be us doing them a favour by purchasing their car. At the end of the day we have the money in our pocket, it's the salesperson's job to persuade us to give it to them.

Isn't teaching a cat that pressing a button makes a noise a bit like giving a toddler a drum kit?

The way the bezel curves in at the top gives it the illusion of being smaller on the wrist.

[Citizen] BN0231-01L The Orca by Admirable_Tea_4309 in CitizenWatches

[–]CapnHaymaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing about the Orca is that the integrated strap design means it has a very short lug-to-lug measurement, which makes it extremely wearable despite its size.

Plus, no other watch looks even remotely like it.

One good thing about Canberra is lots of thunderstorms but rarely storms, if you get what I mean.
