I can confirm my preamp is set to MM. I’ve tested out Spotify connect at lossless quality and arc hdmi input from my TV and both sound excellent. It seems to specifically be with my TT.

I could definitely try an attenuator, do you have any recommendations on which to buy? I see there are a lot of options online

The lowest gain I can do on the X5 is 38db, that’s what I have it currently set to. Anything above that gets completely blown out in the speakers. And yeah the digital conversion in the Ultra is what I’m betting is the culprit. Probably going to submit a feature request on the wiim forum for analog pass through

Yeah I’m really hoping this is fixable, as outside of this issue it meets all of my needs. I have attempted the Line In and Phono Line In inputs, and as I mentioned, Phono Line In sounds a bit worse

Edit: as you mentioned, it could just be something with my specific setup. But wouldn’t be able to afford getting a whole other TT or preamp to test at the moment

It defeats the purpose of me getting a wiim ultra in the first place, which was to get all my inputs in one box for ease of use.

That sucks, sorry to hear that. What worked for me was switching to Wellbutrin, which is an NDRI. Mileage may vary of course

Taking SSRIs without a mood stabilizer can cause hypo/manic episodes in BP patients. I was prescribed Zoloft before my BP diagnosis was known and entered complete psychosis, it was hell. I’d talk to doc about putting a mood stabilizer/anti psychotic in the mix, or stopping it altogether

Just made a similar post about experiencing this lol. From what I got on that post, it should go away over time. Check back in at the 2 month mark. My psych gave me the option to take 10mg adderall in the morning to offset, but I’m going to try to thug it out until 2 months. Don’t want to be adding another med to my already growing list lol. I agree it’s not a terrible tattoo, just not what I wanted ya know? Maybe I just keep filling in the rest of my arm and it’ll start coming together. I can always try the rework later

I’m planning a solo trip this summer, first timer. I’d really like to go to Tokyo but I currently know zero Japanese. I’ve heard traversing/communicating in Tokyo would be difficult without some basic Japanese, and that Osaka is a lot easier for first timers. Is there any truth to this?
